I'd rather give my extra loot to my EVE pilot that has scrapmetal processing and metallurgy 5, where he could then use those minerals to make anything I want from BPO's researched at our at the POS Lab.

I think limiting to only heavy weapons is fine, as long as at the same time they give heavies the capability to carry both AP and AV grenades at the same time. If a tank is near and you're heavy, you're toast. That simple.
