Not you Paran, most top end players have very specific builds that evolve out of the tools at hand. Having those tools fundementally altered entirely negates some past decisions. There are new suits coming, and completely new bonuses to all suits it would seem (except scouts? guess CCP really hates them), it completely alters the game and requires people to have the option to sit down with their accumulated SP and make an informed decision based on the new foundation set by CCP.

Seeing as the vehicle respec happened without a hitch, it is fair to expect an infantry based respec at the very least, if not an optional full respec like the one shortly after Uprising launched.

This game suffers from poor impressions even amongst its most loyal fans, the last thing we need is to infuriate a large portion of the community.

I am against arbitrary respecs such that, you could buy one, or get one every six months, etc, because FOTM and other issues. However, in this case, as was the case for vehicles, massive changes are being brought, so a one time limited repsec would be fair. At the very least, I'd like to have the hacking skill on another suit, as I enjoy that role, without having to grind 2 months to get it. Bittervet Proficiency V thanks logibro!

It appears CCP designed the new vehicle skill tree with the notion to end requests for vehicle respecs, since you unlock all racial vehicles, even racial assault dropships, with the same skill. However, what you skill into on Vehicle Upgrades is directly dependent on what vehicle you are using. So perhaps another respec just for the Vehicle Upgrades tree, but not the Vehicle Command or Turret skill trees. It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's Super Amarr!

I and Im sure many others, spec'd min logi specifically for speedhacking. If that role is erased and the suit is now meant to babysit by providing reps, I want to respec into the suit that offers me a speedhacking bonus, or spec into something different entirely. When CCP finally gets all the basic content such as basic racial suits, vehicles, and weapons in the game, give us a full respec, and then no more. No more respecs if your stuff gets nerfed, no more respecs if someone else's stuff gets buffed, no more respecs if they change something, no more respecs if they add something. To clarify, basic dropsuit means [Race] [Size] Frame. An assault suit is not a basic suit. It has a specialized role. Once this basic content is in the game it will help tremendously with balancing efforts. People can make better decisions on where to place SP. And then, if you place all your SP in a few things to get proto gear, and that gear gets nerfed, well you put all your eggs in one basket.

I don't think this would be bad considering the basic racial content was supposed to be released within 6 months of Uprisings release.

Not necessarely needed. The roles don't change that much and the Skilltree basically stays the same. But the current bonuses were only placeholder bonuses. And we couldn't know what kind of equipment will proft from what Logi suit for example. So I'm not as opposed to respecs when these changes come, even though I wouldn't have a problem if we don't get one. After all there's at least a whole month to save up SP for the suit we want to use. Sign up for Caldari FW and defeat the evil Gallente Overlords!
