So, how viable is a caldari scout compared to a gallente scout for a tanked slayer role? I guess you will at least be moving really really fast, with a great tank (almost as much shield as an assault, 50 hp/s) and a CR.

The guy who scans should be visible to all enemies that got scanned. The it is easy to determine the direction of the RF waves from the active scanner. Risk vs reward mechanic at least.
