I use Kingston SSDNow V300s for non-critical things like my PS3 because they're cheap and they work. It's totally not worth it to buy a Samsung 840 or 850 series for a PS3, it's just silly.

There's some nice and useful features you'd be losing here, like troubleshooting issues. Also, sometimes players might want to switch based on the time they're playing and which battle server is more populous at that time of day.
