Agreed. Although, the loyalty store does have specialist weapons (lower cpu/pg cost), they should expand upon that concept. The only reason for me to buy LP gear is to cut the cost of my proto suits. My proto Amarr costs 47k ISK and around 500 LP.

Also, don't forget to start eating steak/roasts more frequently. I easily gained 22lbs of mostly muscle (used to be 150lbs) in a about a half a year from eating about 7-10lbs of steak a weak (and working out). Diet is half the battle.
