I always like the idea of dual wielding, if its in the right type of shooter, like CoD or Halo. But, I don't think it will fit here, I think the Devs are going for a more BF style game, and akimbo sidearms don't really fit in the games style.

Lower the fitting stays to a normal plate. Ferros too. They already have up quite a bit to have no penalty, or a dual purpose. Bam. Nothing more.
