yeah, once the ps3 heats up framerate should definitely go down, its just reality. check to make sure the vents arent clogged up by the carpet or something and that there isnt a **** ton of dust. Probably also a good idea to put the ps3 by the tv ...

I dont typically have any framerate issues. I know you know this, but overheating is an issue sometimes. I found putting a laptop cooling pad under my ps3 works wonders you should give it a go.
