Scanners are "necessary" after the Tacnet nerf, since this game is extremely slow without any form of enemy detection. Scanners were not a problem when Tacnet was useful.

Spkr, it's not about having a good tanker in your squad all the time, which is already limiting and frustrating. When you run into 6 enemy tanks you might take down 1 or 2 of them if they are dumb and spread too much, but you're not going to win ...
