21. this game is an uphill battle - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Welcome to DUST 514. I am glad that you also find enjoyment in the game. I started two weeks after open Beta started so my Uphill Battle was not as vicious as yours but I can sympathize. Even worse is that I wasn't 'lulled into a false sense of s...

22. SP Question - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I believe it is 5 SP per second and 1 SP per WP in a match. As such, games that are longer will give you more. This means that Skirmish is probably the way to go because you spend less time getting into a match and more times doing things. That ...

23. respec skills?? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Just so you know: The respec is happening only because CCP (the Developers) really, really messed up when the game went from the previous patch to know; using vehicle shield skills requires points in dropsuits and many skills were flat out writte...

24. When does passive SP start ticking? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Only one character per account may have Passive SP. Be well.

25. Is there a limit to skill points? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Maxing everything is not going to happen. The game won't be supported for the 100 years it would take. Well, maybe in 100 years not having a maxed character would be the least of your troubles =-P. Be well.

26. How does it stack? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I know that there is a stacking penalty and that the same skill will work additively but how does it work between Modules and Skills? Does it not suffer the penalty and 10% from Skill + 10% from Module = 20% Does it suffer the penalty and 10% fro...

27. Madrugar fittings - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
You get 102 more armor out of the supplemental 180mm Plate and you are not slowed down as much. If you are going to use 2 slots, you might as well use a Powergrid Module and get more out of it. It is also much cheaper. The 239 PG difference is m...

28. How does it stack? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
How do the percentages stack when it comes to skills and modules? IE, how does Engineering's 10% PG work with a +10% PG module? How do the Armor/Shield Resistance Skills work in regards to Active or Passive modules? Be well.

29. Cosmetic Purchase with AUR? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
It's a FPS with mico purchases. I give it three months before hats come out.

30. New Player Guide - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Hopefully this ends up really helping. The game is complicated as hell for the new player, especially if you are not familiar with EVE. Good luck and great thing to do. Be well.

31. Tip to tankers - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
NEVER switch to a side turret. Switching to a side turret is the mating dance of the Blueberry who wants to drive your Tank. You switch to a small turret or get out and someone will be driving your Tank to the prom.

32. Can file a ticket or complaint on people for using a mod on controlers? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Honestly, I believe there is no point in even reporting because everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. Yes, I flat out know that I have run across people that use it. I have turned ran into someone when I had 600+ life and just flop, dead, an...

33. EVE Vet looking for something fresh, where to start? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Also, look into getting into a Corporation. Running with a Squad is more fun and gives FAR greater War Points, meaning more SP and ISK.

34. EVE Vet looking for something fresh, where to start? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Since you mention that you like to play with others, I suggest Logistic (or Logi Bro as it is colloquially known). Logistic players are not really expected to be Grade-A shooters (but it does help) as your main goal is Repairing, Rearming, and Rev...

35. Profile dampening? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
If I remember it correctly: My scan is X, your Suit's Profile is Y. If X is bigger than Y, I can see you. When you run or shoot, your profile gets much larger. I believe scan Precision is how big the dot is but I am unsure. Be well.

36. Best way to practice driving/flying without futzing up the team/match - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Corporation War with a friendly 'enemy' corporation is the safest way. You can actually double dip too. Get your friendlies to shoot you with Forge Guns. They get practice hitting you and you get practice evading. *shrug* Be well.

37. Give me a starter sniper build for 2m SP - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Honestly, I suggest a Logistics suit for Sniper purposes. Being able to carry a Nanohive and a Drop Uplink is great. It sucks getting into a good Sniper position only to be Counter Sniped immediately. With an Uplink, you can spawn and get that jer...

38. Swarm Launchers, Useful or Not? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Forge vs. Swarm Launcher. It is a really close battle. IIRC, it is 80 / 120 damage against Shield / Armor for Swarms and 100 / 100 for Forge Guns. Between the two, it is a toss up for me. The both seem to have about the same range, similar firing ...

39. Starter Pack question - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I honestly don't notice the kick difference between each Assault Rifle. I always hear people rave about how the GEK kicks less than the Duvolle but I am oblivious to it. The "Exile" is just a normal Assault Rifle that is a blueprint. Be well.
