I suck at driving. I suck even worse at flying. But I want to get better.
However, the only way I can think of how to do this is to drop in a LAV or DS way back in my own zone in skirmish and practice there - however that leaves my team a man down, potentially crippling them.
That said, if I call in a LAV or DS and a random (or 2 or 3) people jump in while I am still figuring out the basic controls, well, at best I am wasting their time. At worst, I run into a wall and kill them.

A thing I've talked to my CEO about, is a Corp Training Ground. I would talk to your Corp CEO, and see if they can't set up a 24/7 (Or whatever time...) Training Ground. All you need is a cooperative corp to train with, and your set for success. |

Don't worry too much, back lot practice is the only option at present.
You can wait to make your drop after all your blue berries run off so they don't distract your practice with constant turret firing. |

Or that. Back in my day, we had to learn on the field. I'm a pretty excellent Pilot right now, no denying. I learned that it's a Thrust Vehicle early on. It's like sliding a brick on ice... |

Yeah, the way most of us learnt/learn is trial by fire. Nothing makes you respect AV as much as getting shot at on your first attempt at flying, it's expensive but it drives the lessons home. |

No doubt. I'll look for a good training fit to use. If you want to practice with the Uprising's 'Assualt Aircraft', look at Gbghg's replica of it. Just practice circling over places, hovering, and your basic manuevering. :) |

Corporation War with a friendly 'enemy' corporation is the safest way. You can actually double dip too. Get your friendlies to shoot you with Forge Guns. They get practice hitting you and you get practice evading. *shrug*
Be well. |
