The HMG has many, many problems,among them that AR and SMG spray do more DPS at 15 m than an HMG does . That there's a glitch at range doesn't surprise me, but it's just one of the HMG's faults.

CCP has previously stated that they like the game with a higher TTK and have previously adjusted damage/hp to bring TTK in line with chromosome standard. There will be a fix for this. Just chill until then.
