The 30% damage you're supposed to be inflicting at your effective range is glitched, equalling I believe 1% damage efficiency. This is why heavies are complaining. The AR can use its 30% damage range to snipe however the HMGs 30% damage range is glitched and is completely useless, doing literally 10 overall damage as you sprayed someone for 5 seconds. |

So why is heavies are asking for buffs rather than glitch fixes? I haven't seen the glitch mentioned once yet i see heavies asking for straight up buffs like AR optimal range.
If you want a glitch fixed you should try and tell CCP its a glitch rather than say "IM GETTING KILLED IN AR'Z RANGE PLEEZE BUFF ME" |

The HMG has many, many problems,among them that AR and SMG spray do more DPS at 15 m than an HMG does  . That there's a glitch at range doesn't surprise me, but it's just one of the HMG's faults.

HMG needs a buff to 30m range(greater and it'd probably be OP, if the dispersion allowed it) but the glitch absolutely kills it, the moment you're outside its optimal range you're not doing the 30% damage like the AR does its 30% damage, you can watch your HUD at the bottom left, seeing your HMG doing its "30%" yet doing next to no damage at all. |
