There is no use arguing about the difference between armor and shields. Shields are shields and armor is armor. Deal with the way they are designed (because they are working as designed).

It's an interesting idea. The numbers could be argued endlessly -- but the concept is sound. With the logi able to do just about anything there needs to be a way to allow suits meant for certain roles to excel at those roles. Good thinking!
