Just pack some AV grenades. I know it's a pain but some good AV nades will take out the LAV, and usually the heavy inside it panics or dies when his precious car blows up. I have also once sneakily hacked a heavies LAV then subsequently ran him ...

The min assault is performing well. You can fit it in almost any style that you want. I've got armor, shield, dual tanked, speed, and eWAR fits. The min scout seems to be ok but I haven't played much with it. The knives are easier to use though....
