There are no "aliens" in EVE. There is sleeper, etc stuff though, but that would expand us into worm holes, and I'm pretty sure CCP has a bit more planned for Wormhole space than just a game mode...

I think you may be better off introducing such a thing as a shotgun variation rather than just an officer weapon. It would increase weapon variety, be more useable (as it can be bought) and could help give more options to close range combat.

The problem with "buffing" everything over nerfing a single item is that there's a massive margin for error. Think of the current scene, if every weapon was buffed to the current OP weapon, then you could potentially be buffing over a half dozen...

It's far easier to use corporations / intel channels with EVE players to coordinate these things. EVE players don't just wait around planets hoping to be contacted, most of them only do so if contracted in some way.
