when people make posts like this on alts, i always think of it as some guy who was just sent to jail, and trying to beat up the strongest guy in there on the first day he doesn't get prison raped

When this topic is brought up the usual recourse from EoN is to point at the past... 2 years in the making. Then they point at the future "we built this corp for nullsec".

While thats all well and good, what about the present? I think that is what the OP is getting out (who clearly is NOT a member of EoN).

Its kind of funny in a way.. if you look at this, the leader of EoN has been given an enourmous amount of power to decide the goings on in PC. Wether he wanted that power or not, he has it. And with power comes responsibility (like Superman). What EoN does with their power is entirely up to them. We read posts time and time again of EoN guys saying to the community "get good, get organized, come fite us!!! rawr".

But think about it like this.. a bunch of a-team players standing on top of a hill, looking down not upon the masses.. but upon a few beat up, tired, frustrated, annoyed players walking towards the door as EoN screams.. "COME BACK GUYS, COME FIGHT US YOU SCRUBS LOLZ".. as the rest of us turn over our shoulders and flick you the bird. And you wonder why people are suggesting that you "fight yourselves" for now. That would solve both problems.. give you guys the competition you claim to desire so much, and loosen the grip a little on the PC stranglehold to allow for the possibility of some growth in the game/community.

But your response would probalby be "**** you guys, we aint never splitting up.. besides this game is dead, dying, on its last breath" or whatever the latest catch phrase you can come up with. or just spew the same old "we been together 2 years" or "we built this corp for nullsec".. or "we didnt cause this, blame CCP" .. or "other alliances have done this before, why cant we" or...etc etc etc.

Stop making posts, if EoN decides they want to call an audible and switch things up they will. If they dont, they dont. Nobody is going to sway them otherwise.. only time will tell what happens.

U had ppl that chose pure numbers fall, ppl that thought EVE support would win it for em fall, ppl that thought monopolizing an entire TZ fall and the one group that stuck to its FPS CLAN (yes thats right i said it....CLAN) principles prevailed.
Everyone but NF and EoN thought Quality would never win over having more bodies even when we told em u still needed to win ur fights to make those numbers count ppl shrugged it off and laughed..........now we are here.......in the Cry Room.

Nullsec Preview for the shortsighted kids: Alliance with 1600 ppl compared to an alliance with 2000 and 3000+ ppl. Think PS2 where even when u log off the fighting is still goin on (thats how nullwars will b) so based on that alone the alliance that is spread out worldwide and has more bodies will prob have numerical advantages in fights so us lowly EoN folk will have to fight outnumbered especially on our off times most likely when faced against the other big boys.

Also....ur inhouse EVE support isnt gonna mean **** in nullsec so dont focus on it focus on ur mercs cuz null grps will provide u all the EVE support u could ever want IF ur good enough and they are willing to work with u (that was another big campaign against us btw where ppl laughed how we had little to no EVE support for lowsec when i told them EVE support now doesnt matter and atm nullgrps will just be paying attention to WHO can shoot and get the job done as Mercs....zomg there goes that long term thinkin again........lol)


PS: @ ER the game/community is not growing sorry to burst ur bubble but this game is NOT attracting new players (inb4some1blamesEoN4that) and thats because of dumb decisions by CCP. The starting grind for a new player to b PC ready is about TWO months+ CCP never listened when we said DUST =/= EVE and thus u gotta treat it differently. NO FPS player will want to GRIND for 2+months of PUBS just to b PC ready on a SUBPAR FPS when they can go play much smoother fpses and be competitive either from day 1 or within a week of playin hard.

When DUST re-launches on PS4 CCP will have a 2nd chance to grow the community so hopefully by the time it reaches PS4 the game is on par with what the other PS4 shooters are offering from a pure shooter perspective.

Like Thor said i see what your trying to say but my from postion its just dumb. You say who cares about the past, its simple we do. We built this from nothing took all the hate along the way and kept it going. Many many man hours were spent on making EoN what it is and risking to throw it all away for the entertainment of the community is im sorry to say a joke.

All i say is, would you do what your suggesting if YOU built EoN? If you were Mavado would you risk throwing it all away cause some others who can't plan as well as you need entertainment?

Little about me - I am a salesman. My job is to please people. Call me a "people person".

If I were in your position I would like to think I would do what is best for my people first, then whats best for the longevity of the game and community second. Go back to blaming CCP, or do something about it myself? Be revered by my peers for being the best strategist, player, organizer, planner... or once I have accomplished that, be revered for being a people person and helping out a perfect stranger? I know it is rare in the online gaming community, but who says you guys cant break the mold. At first glance Planet Fight Club is doing just that, helping people for no other reason but to help them. NO reward, no gain, just the right thing to do. Why stop there?

And I said it before, whats the worst that could happen? It doesnt work, PC doesnt grow, you put EoN back together just like it was? Where is the risk in at least giving it a serious thought, discussion, and maybe even a go at it? What else are you/we all doing here?

While there are clear advantages to the rest of the community to see a rest from the EoN domination, would it not benefit you as well to get some competition going against the best players left in this game? I know I have seen you make posts looking for competition, belittling the community for lack thereof. So do you or dont you want fights?

See the problem with responding to the first part of this is as soon as I try to explain the good things we have done*gasp* for PC or the bad things that havn't been done, could also say, the trolls will say stop trying to be called saints. Which i don't know how that started cause I dont think anyone in EoN considers themselfs a saint, we just tried to defend what we have done when people say we do nothing for the community.

There is no risk in giving it a serious discussion and who says we havn't? Not to be a **** but comments like that come back to people talking as if they know of the happenings inside EoN or EoN Leadership which you don't.

Anyways I don't call the shots so not like what i say matters but i can guarantee you EoN won't break up to fight for a few months(no secret EoN is gone when ps4 is out) for the enjoyment of others. It just won't happen.

I see what your saying and honestly i commend you for trying to look out for the rest of this community and the game(meta or not) but this is out of the players hands. Ya you hate to hear it but the blame is on CCP and the 5k total playerbase(most of which is afk farming).
