So basically, OP wants a buff because the reason scouts were good before is because they are not affected by the crappy aiming issues (slow turning etc), and can take advantage of the horrid hit detection? |

the thing about the scout is people always go for the same crap on them
all ive ever heard people say is its about speed mods on the scout suit buy not on mine

also in chrome the guys were moving faster then the framerate that was a joke
im more for the passive scanning, dampening and a way better base scan on my scout

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but Wolfman recently said that they are trying to get a scout fix/improvement in 1.5, but because of time constraints there's a good chance it will slip to 1.6.

Lol possibly 1.5? And most likely 1.6?
If Scouts dont get anything in 1.4 I'll be saying good bye to DUST, I'm not going through one month of getting killed over and over by ARs. |

Actually wolfman replied to a someone in his forum post about the armor buffs. His reply included stating that scouts need love, but they will only get some in update 1.5 IF they have enough time to include it. Otherwise they are pushed back again. |

The suggestions you made are things that would help the basic light frame, not the scouts. Think of what actually skilling into the scout gets you that you would not have if you stick with the basic light frames, profile reduction. You know, so you can sneak around. But no one can passively scan you outside of 10 meters, so it doesn't matter if your profile signature is 10dB or 100dB, no one is going to pick you up because you're not running within 10 meters of someone's back. It's essentially a wasted skill. |

I agree. there is no way my mimi logi should be able to keep with a mimi scout. i would like to see a the sprint speed be up to like 12 mps as the base. give or take depending what race your scout is. |

You make a good point. Passive scanning should be increased for all mercs, so specializing into dampening or scanning will actually give you a benefit. This would be a great help chasing people or setting traps and allows for many more interesting strategies. As it it now, scanning and dampening are next to useless indeed. |

I tried to start a thread about CCP plans for scout a few days ago, it died w/o anyone commenting. Why should CCP care about reworking scouts if even the scout community does not care?
CCP only pays attention to rivers of tears and their internal brainstorming/vision of the future. It would be nice if actual game data statistics made their way to their consideration. I sorta even understand whey they function this way. It has nothing to do with true balance. They are in the business of pleasing as many ppl as possible as often as possible. With that in mind I won't be surprized if Dust stays Logi AR 514. |

Complex range extenders give you a +45% bonus to scan range. It is not level dependent, meaning that once you skill into the passive range extension skill to L5, you can equip the complex range module which ALWAYS gives you a +45% bonus.
(note also that the passive scan range skill gives you +10% per level, so at L5 you have a passive bonus to scan range of +50% - essentially, a free complex range extender)

range lv5, suit bonus lvl 5, 4x complex range
10 x 1.10 x 1.25 x 1.45 x 1.45 x 1.45 x 1.45 = 99.4613906
Im presently lv3 range, lv3 3 scout, and run a suit with 4x advanced range my range is 56.13m tested
yes 20m is still crap without mods. some people know the suit bonus is just a helper boost not ment to entirely replace the use of of mods
learn the formula. range modifiers has no stacking penalties. |

Without two stamina mods for evasion my light frame is target practice. Even when fully shielded.
Unless stealth actually starts to mean something soon, I at least think the suits should get a price reduction. |

Knife is so broken that being invisible hardly gonna make it usable. If you want, I can explain why but I am assuming everyone here knows this w/o me explaining. |
