I think your math is off here.
It should be 10 + (10 x 1.5) + (10 x 1.5) = 20
Then, when you ad in the Mods it should be 20 + (20 x 1.45) + (20 x 1.45) + (20 x 1.45) + (20 x 1.45) = 56
So max Scan Range for a Gal Scout should be 56m. |

Give us more PG/CPU, also make us harder to hit, giving us a buff to Sprint and Movement speed.
Give us two damn Equip slots.
Get rid of the stupid stamina delay you added, but only remove it for Scouts.
Increase base Stamina and Stamina regen speed.
1.4 will be the death of the Scout if we dont get changed, and its starting to look like from dev/CPM responses (IRC, CPM-AMA, Forums) that Scout wont be getting any love.
Dont make that mistake CCP, I can handle one more month, but two is pushing it.

I read your thread and gave it a thumbs up, but didn't have anything to add that already hasn't been stated elsewhere. Not to say your feedback is invalid; every Scout shares your experience and sentiment. That said, there have been so many "Scouts need fixing" threads since Uprising that we're more or less just repeating ourselves in vain at this point.
I'm thinking CCP had us in mind when they rewired TacNet; let's hope they follow through with it in 1.4.

Thats actually quite an amusing idea.
Make sure we all log into the most popular and populous server (US or EU depending on time of day), and either mass AFK or all sit out and redline snipe for the entire game, for days
That would get us some attention and love (not)

We should all just get militia heavies an qsync with tree squads ( one 6 an two of 5) an use forge guns like shotguns with speed mods an nova knives an move in a huge pack an have maybe the squad of 6 be actual scouts with rep tools nano hives uplinks an bombs an two guys use assault rifles for range an just travel like a pack of piranha s keepin the scout suits inside the heavy forge circle only to swoop out fast an shot gun then get back inside the swarm lol |

Scouts desperately need a passive cloaking feature.
You can't see them unless they are hit, shooting, or sprinting. Basically, the cloak would work with shields. The smaller the shield delay is, the faster you can get back to being cloaked again.
Until then, they need to not have a red dot on the radar or HUD unless you are aiming directly at them. |

if my math is off then so is CCP's and the creator of the Dust 514 Fitting Tool. Tested in game and I have 56m with only lvl 3 range, lvl 3 suit, and 4 advanced range mods.
everything in game works with the same formula starting with base x basic skill x suit bonus x mods. only thing I haven't tested is which comes first if using 2+ different lvl mods.
same formula with profile dampening and precision but because it is making the value lower it's kinda like having a stacking penalty. you can't get to 0.

VoidFaction,you math so good! Cumulative bonuses with stacking penalties to range amplifiers. Current max scanning range on a Gallente Scout is 10*1.5*1.5*2.8578 is 64.3m Gallente Logi can get 10*1.5*2.9941 which is 44.9m
Returning to Chromosome's range 25m base for scouts and 20 base for all other suits would make max ranges 160.75m and 89.8m respectivey. Only no one is going to sacrifice ALL OF THEIR LOW SLOTS for those numbers. Despite the fact that THE SCANNER DOESN'T WORK to begin with and Gallente Scouts can't even detect other Scouts

Doesn't matter. Current Mechanics have view distance very limited. A sniper is always invisible regardless. Also Sniping as a Scout is pretty dumb. Sniping is defined by the number of Complex Damage Modules you can fit on your suit. The Proto snipers can't hold up to proto suits. Giving a reason for Scouts to be a sniper would be a wonderful boon. |
