Well my contribution on this forum in the near future will be mostly advice, although I am sure that my guides continue to provide a useful resources for new players and players changing roles.

Not enough tank, I tried it before my second respec. Std gear only but in my experience unless you got the drop with a charged shot you just couldn't stay alive long enough in a firefight.

I happened to see Chank up on your list of grantees....are all the other spreadsheeters getting some love too? (ie me and hydraslav?)

At the very least hydraslav should be on your list seeing as his fitting tool is beyond impressive and represents multiple days worth of manhours.

Funny you should mention it because I just started experimenting with the Assault Scrambler Rifle/SMG combo. Assault Scrambler Rifle gives range, and strips shields, while I use Breach SMG with its increased armour damage to finish them when I get close enough. I picked up the Scrambler Rifle because I was tired of not having enough range to shoot across a street.

Now that said, I must admit that I have been using an Assault suit. I have found the fitting requirements too tight to fit a Drop uplink with the Assault Scrambler Rifle equipped, so if the fitting is that tight on an Assault suit I am unsure if I could make a decent Scout suit fit with the Scout suits that I have access to. I may give it a try, but I will have to delete an existing fit to make room for the new one.

Well Fox, you know as well as I do that scouts are about the sacrifices. The lost modules, the lost CPU/PG, the lost equipment slots, the lost health.

But it seems like the longer range of Scrambler rifles would really play into the scout-sniper just more medium long range. Also try the normal, the assault is more for those close up deals.

- Protect your Tank

- When to Rep and when to Shoot.
- When to Stick-em, and when to let em die

This will just cover the basics, the rules of thumb when you are starting out. They can read the specialty guides to learn when it is appropriate to break those rules of thumb.

btw making a chart on blaster(large turrets) damage at the proto level vs range to see where stabilized would come into play, should be nice to look at. done now finding a way to post it. btw 60m is where it wins vs scattered.

Hahaha. Yeah, I'm a troll, but I've personally trained a good number of new berries and given just as many grants so long as they vow never to use the AR.

The Line

I finally finished the first draft of my Frontline, Medium Frame Infantry guide. It came out to 18.5 pages in Word Perfect, which will probably translate into around 10 posts on the forum. I will probably have to reserve 15 posts to have room for future expansion. I guess I will have to include a linked index on something that big.

I still have to proof read it, so it probably wonGÇÖt show up on the forums until sometime next week.
