I'm not a heavy, but as a chubby chasing logi, I see enough of them in action to confirm that heavies are in a somewhat good place. The real problem is that their new "defender" role pretty much sucks. Who want's to invest 18,000,000+ SP into a class if all you can do is camp?

Any class can have 900+HP except scouts and certain medium suits can attain 1290hp whilst a setinel caps at 1589hp. Only about 300hp difference.

This problem goes back to the fact there's no other REAL heavy suit. The way the amarr suit is set up suits a play style that most of the heavies don't like to play as, hence the QQ. But that aside they also lack different weapons as well.

Logis and assaults have 4 different styles of playing and scouts have 2 so unless your a heavy opinions are moot since assaults and logis can pick the flavor that suits them best.

Its not that heavies need buffs but just that CCP needs to do their damned job.

I'm a heavy HMG and I'm not complaining. I just wish I could pay back all of those murder taxis with my 'body blender'.

Yeah, It's hard enough for medium frames to dodge cars, but heavies get screwed when they're trying to cross the street.

heavy complaint: sentinel suits are not fun and commandos aren't really fatsuits. that's more or less it right now.

the armor tanking issues are merely more obnoxiously obvious on heavies. But the armor tanking issue affects the gallente and amarr medium and light suits more than it does the amarr heavy suit. But right now the long and short of the problems with heavies are nested in the viability of armor tanking. I guarantee you that when the caldari heavy is released people will scream because of the current shield > armor meta.

Fixing armor tanking (which fixes all of the other amarr and gallente suits) fixes heavies.

the HMG has issues but other weapons need to be fixed before even the very slight buff that might be needed should be considered.

Forge gun is fine.

A heavy suit is a heavy suit. it is not the same as a sentinel suit. Get this through your head.

There is no other option if you want to use heavy weapons (Sentinel). As for commandos, I can only assume people are deluded or desperately hoping they get fixed. Right now they're a vortex of suck so large they defy rational explanation. There might be an element of shock as well, as you skill into a new class and you keep playing because you can't believe how bad it is.

I complain about the map layout, but there isn't one objective that doesn't have an area close by that you can squeeze into where LAVs can't reach you.

If you ever get ran over as a heavy then you weren't playing your role right. If some ******* on the other team drove a lav all the way over to your spawn at thee start of the game and ran you over on your way to the first objectives, then I can understand being upset - but you can call in a free lav so stop whining.

lolSentinel... people have a right to complain about that joke. Some people like it, and find a use for it, but I'm not one of those people, so my opinion is biased against the suit.

Threads made in the feedback section should not be viewed as QQ or whining. Because someone has a different opinion about something doesn't mean he / she is crying or complaining about it. Some of those threads bring up valid points, and pretty good ideas.

The bonuses on a lot of suits are crap. I'm a Gallente scout - my bonus sucks. I seriously don't even think about it though. Your weapons, modules, and playstyle can easily make up for it.

and? if you chose not to complain about it fine. Others will, until CCP sees it, AND THEY DID. CCP said they're looking to give scouts "some love". You saw the thread CCP picked up? Was that whiny to you? In fact, I don't really care for your opinion on that matter for a very simple reason, CCP SAW IT. Only way CCP will see a problem is if people raise their voice about it. So you're getting a buff to your suit cuz enough people cried about it. I've been playing heavy for a bit over a week now. Drastically improved K/D ratio. Significantly lowered rate of death. It's not at all uncommon for me to get a 7/0 kill rating and that's not even counting all the people who I tear up so my team can finish them. Got 18 assists in one match today.

Heavies are fine. And we'll be even better after the flaylock nerf and the armor buff that are probably coming sometime down the road.
