heavy complaint: sentinel suits are not fun and commandos aren't really fatsuits. that's more or less it right now.
the armor tanking issues are merely more obnoxiously obvious on heavies. But the armor tanking issue affects the gallente and amarr medium and light suits more than it does the amarr heavy suit. But right now the long and short of the problems with heavies are nested in the viability of armor tanking. I guarantee you that when the caldari heavy is released people will scream because of the current shield > armor meta.
Fixing armor tanking (which fixes all of the other amarr and gallente suits) fixes heavies.
the HMG has issues but other weapons need to be fixed before even the very slight buff that might be needed should be considered.
Forge gun is fine.
Please don't confuse the issues. |

Actually D Legendary Hero is a major advocate for making heavies pretty much invincible. He demands things like AR range on the HMG, 30% small arms damage resistance for heavies, etc.
Basically **** most of us would recognize as a bad idea. Unfortunately he has a little echo chamber of newer heavies who are accustomed to getting stomped routinely and don't realize that heavies require the single-most hefty investment in core dropsuit skills to make viable. Further they refuse to acknowledge that when armor is made equally viable with shields the heavy will be completely, utterly fixed.
I imagine it's those stupid threads and threadjacks that he's whining about. Because D threadjacks anything remotely resembling of interest to heavies to copypasta his posts, and makes posts advocating ridiculously powerful additions to fatsuits. He either has a lot of alts or a buncha clueless newbs who don't know any better parroting him. |

Anything else is what I would be asking you, you derper. The bonuses on a lot of suits are crap. I'm a Gallente scout - my bonus sucks. I seriously don't even think about it though. Your weapons, modules, and playstyle can easily make up for it.
making armor tanking more viable would make gallente scouts more viable.
and a lot tougher than the current meta of being protected by hope and paper. |
