CCP, I'm a very patient and regular guy when it comes to my games, even since the time (closed BETA). I have seen small hotfixes to massive overhauls on the game and yet for some reason you finally managed to upset me to this extent on where the direction of this game is going. I pick one suit and one suit only that match my play style: The Scout and Shotgun build. I know you will be addressing issues with the Scout suit so I will not be addressing any issues with that, but where my real problem lies is that of my Shotgun.
What the hell happened to it? The Shotgun was near perfect where it was at in CHROMOSOME (minus the range on it) and now it is completely useless. I have been using the scout/shotgun build since closed beta and just wow...it is not even effective even at this supposed "optimal range". Here's a list of things I see wrong with the Shotguns:
1.) When I shoot enemies directly (5-10-15) feet away it does absolutely nothing sometimes when I (ADS).
2.) Strafe speed is now even with everyone else's? What?!
3.) The reload for shotguns is STILL the same even if you upgrade it all the way. (Tested on alt)
4.) Maxing out proficiency level in Shotguns still doesn't even work (tested this on alt).
5.) Skills still don't work in general mind you.
6.) Hip-fire still is a struggle with hit detection, from close/far away. (5-10) / (15-20) feet away
7.) Auto aim still does not even register well when enemies are near in the heat of battle.
I'm sorry CCP, but what the hell? I wish you can collect all the top Shotgun users, sit down with them and talk about what they like/dislike about them in a non-biased view. And I will be honest about what is fair and unfair if you were to ask. CCP please address this or you will potentially lose not only me as a customer but possibly other dedicated shotgun users as well. Thanks again.

It's true, well I assume most of it is.
I was using it for about 1 week before 1.2 and life was good now it's like it's a gamble if it wants to register dmg, it's like the animation isn't in sync with spread. Not sure but some things up |

Glitches aside, the shotgun is working as intended.
Last build it was crazy OP and could one shot assaults from way too far. |

I know I've said otherwise in other threads but I agree strafe speeds are ridiculously high. I don't mind strafing, I like it, but when an assault is strafing just as fast or faster than I am in a scout suit it's kind of broken.
You've basically just took the only benefit the scout suit had and gave it to everybody else/  |

That's what I'm saying, I run that as my full time suit and with my alt I max everything in the shotgun to see how the stats/ skills are once I max them out. And this builds shotgun...is pitiful. |

I will say the strafe speed has really hurt the shotgun, it's so hard to land a hit from just a meter or 2.
With such limited range and so difficult to hit up close the shotgun has lost its niche.
I really hope you're wrong on reload and proficiency, not saying you are but I just hope so.
All this aside, I can still do well with a shotty but it still feels neutered. |

I rushed a sniper, put two shells into him, didn't even scratch armor, for him to one shot me at CQB distance then..... Tea bag

I used to do really well on chrome with a shotgun, it felt really good for the ranges it could be used in.
I finally got kin cats with this weeks sp... So I tried the infamous Calamity/Annie speed shotgun cal logi build... I can't even go positive... Hit detection is really bad on it.
I dunno... Something just seems off about it.
No wonder Calamity/Annie quit... Shotgun is almost impossible to use ATM. |

many time the hit detection fails with the shotgun and medium frame suits need 3 shotgun shells to be killed, even at point blank range it takes 2 shots to kill a logi, the damage over range of the shotgun is ridicolous, ita a high risk very low reward weapon, you have to sneak, get closer and avoid detection to get a kill and then the shots dont registers and the enemy just spins and fused locus grenade to your face, to kill on 1 hit you need to be in knife range, the shotgun should go back to chromosome levels, with less range, but damn we need something |

Seriously? I was doing pretty good with the shotgun the other day. Usually one shotting with basic shotgun and no damage reps. I love the strafe speed with the shotgun. Makes it feel like it's Unreal Tournament :) |

Definitely badly messed up.
Decided to try it again for the first time since 1.2. My first negative game since 1.2...
Since uprising, every attempt to use the shotty has been a debacle of shots not registering at point blank, shots randomly hitting at medium range (usually not) and me dying lots.
It was my favourite weapon by far in Beta, with quite a bit of experience. I once made half the enemy team quit a skirmish match by using a shotty scout and ambushing them constantly, so I know its not (all  ) me thats faulty, though I do have some pretty random game performances even with the best weapons. |

I am not asking for a buff or a nerf, just fix the damn weapon. Its unfair when people just casually walk by a full blast TO THE FACE or IN THE BACK, then I just get blown away. This needs to be addressed. |
