Seeing how effectively I am getting murdered by Mass Drivers, it made me kinda giddy and ragy at the same time.
Still, this is a positive step in finally seeing other weapons becoming viable and genuine threat. |

The radius reduction of 1.0 and 1.1 was necessary because of the range reduction in all weapons. Less range = More CQC = Stronger Mass Driverl
The additional range given to other weapons again required a tweak to the mass driver splash radius. This time they changed it from 3.0(std) /3.1(Adv)/ 3.3(pro) to 4/4.2/4.4. CCP definitely changed the values, even if they don't realize it(you should probably check the game stats or ask someone who might know before responding to these things). I am almost certain that the item value change isn't just cosmetic, and is actually reflected in game. A lot easier to hit shots and also kill yourself. |

Sorry Dev, you're wrong. The blast radius stats got buffed. Uprising 1.1 blast radius stats: STD - 3m ADV - 3.1m Proto - 3.3m Uprising 1.2 blast radius stats: STD - 4m ADV - 4.2m Proto -4.4m
What I don't get is why would a change be made without a dev blog and player feedback thread? |

well what i am talking about are my own personal observations and experiance
from my perspective mass drivers were rare before, and now i see multiple a game and before i rarely saw a single one.
its called a personal anecdote, others experiances may vary

It's not Wolfman's fault. He asked me if I'd made any changes to the Mass Driver and I told him none that I could recall. I later checked my change history and I had increased the splash damage up from 3m to 4m... back in May.
We're often working in a build that has enough differences to the live build that it can be hard to remember when/if a single stat was changed.
I apologize for the misinformation. All derpishness in this matter can be traced back to me. |

The blast radius is in a great spot, bringing back the smoke was a great addition and since the Uprising nerf, many of us massholes only got better. Once the secondary skills are more weapon specific, investing SP into ammo capacity might make up for the lack of supply depots and the nanohive nerf.
Also, I just wanted to apologize for all the rants and rave posts from earlier. I don't envy you and Wofman for having to put up with us when you're just trying to do your job, no hard feelings. |

Its nice seeing these again, kind of missed them. They are still no Flaylock in the amount of Dmg they deal in a short period but are good for fleshing guys out.
