Dear CCP,
Don't you have enough people fed up with this game already? You do realize, that 95% of the people you sent into ISK debt, will NEVER play this game again. I didn't go negative, but I am among the minority of the players you have. I come here on the forums daily, to find out what's going on. Most players don't. Most players just want to turn on their PS3 and play. They saw the extra ISK and thought it was part of the respec like before. As a matter of fact for the first week or more in your response letters to submitting a Respec Ticket you said you were going to refund ISK I'll quote my response from you:
"The skill respec will be applied to your characters in the coming days once we have completed and deployed changes to the skill tree. This one time respec will remove and refund all ISK and skill points that have been applied to date."
So I get taking back the extra ISK, even sending people to 0 ISK, but negative? No one is going to use free suits to dig their way out of millions to 10's of millions of ISK debt, they are just going to move on to a new game.
Your meager offer to have someone submit a ticket and have some of thier inventory turned back into ISK, is a tedious process, that won't help most people because they spent that ISK on everything from Protosuits, to Tanks. Then had those items destroyed by people like me. Some people donated alot to their corp who spent that ISK on PC. So, most of that ISK is gone, and can't be refunded. For a company who's general motto is if you can do it in the game then it's allowed, you are going against everything you believe in, by doing what you did.
People went on a spending spree, but it was your fault.
Take the extra ISK but anyone you sent into DEBT, needs to be set to ZERO ISK not NEGATIVE. If you don't I am pretty sure outer space wont be the only place in a vacuum. |

If you are in the negative it's YOUR fault! Not CCP's. It was obviously a mistake and anyone within their right minds would assume that they would fix the issue at some point in the near future. They made an announcement about it pretty quickly and if you didn't heed that warning it's nobodys fault but your own. |

if they managed to spend millions of ISK on protobear suits... they should have hundreds of protobear suits! And, following that logic, those suits should work with their brand new skill specs.
Nobody said they need to use Militia fits. Let them dig their own way out of their own hole, using the expensive equipment they actually bought. |

They choose to spend hundreds of millions in record time , ccp did post on the forums and word was spreading round the game within hours not to spend the extra isk those in debt deserve it and will not have to run militia gear if they spent wisely they can use there gear which they purchased . Those who donated to a corp simply get a refund from a CEO. Just means less dtacs running round in pub games I happy with that , we were always told that running proto gear was not going to be affordable for the majority and now the reaper has come to collect his debts those who were greedy need to pay their dues in |

The forums were glitching I meant to say Take their ISK and stuff, but if it doesn't bring them back to Zero, set them to Zero.

Im against that idea.
Why would it be fair to let the negative people get to zero (which means pocketing a **** ton of isk) while the people that decided to wait and see the outcome get nothing?
If anything, just give back all that extra isk to everyone.
There is a definite chance there will be a lost of players because of all this. |

Have you been playing the last 2 days? People were calling in Dropships/Tanks only to have them blown up then they called in more. In one game I played over 20 tanks were killed. It was fun and we benefited from blowing them up.

Yea this is about right, its been Protobear central in pubs. I was in a match with like 6 tanks in it. I cowered in fear and then remembered I didn't care because most of the points on the map can't be hit by tanks. |

Nullified ISK only with assets reset. Actually, people probably got some extra SP from all the proto stomping so they still get rewarded for abusing an obvious bug. |

If we're assuming the player base is made up of petulant children with no self-control, I'm definitely against giving them ISK back. I'd consider this an object lesson in consequence for wee tykes. |

This is a great example of 'selective reading'. Taking the 3 bolded words on their own would imply that all ISK spent to date would be refunded. However, in the context of the Skill Tree changes that were forthcoming at the time, one should have inferred that it was to be only ISK spent on skillbooks coming back to you.
Alas, inference is a talent that is obviously beyond some players.

New Player influx, now that's funny! Very few new players are going to join the game. One a few are willing to get raped for a month (or more) while they work their way past the starting 500k sp. Battle Academy Only shields them for their first 10,000 WP. |

I'd say that the kind of people who would exploit an obvious error so quickly and casually might not exactly be the kind of people who you want to be playing with anyway.
Personally, I'd be tempted to quit if these players were allowed to keep even a portion of their ill-gotten gains (or if they've gained any kind of advantage whatsoever from it).
Pick your poison CPP:
Do you risk losing a bunch of players who willfully and knowingly exploited your mistake, or do you risk losing honest, legitimate players who are put at a disadvantage by these same exploiters?
How CPP deals with this situation will send a loud message to the entire player base that either
a) cheating/glitching/exploiting will NOT be tolerated, or
b) that scamming the system out of millions of ISK (that is supposed to take months, if not YEARS to earn legitimately) is "fair game" and, at worst, will result in a minor slap on the wrist. |

I really don't feel bad for the tards who spent their ISK but I would hate to see this game lose players. It pisses me off that CCP is going to have devote resources to fix this when they could be doing far more useful things.
CCP needs to;
1. liquidate all assets of mercs with negative balances. 2. remove donated ISK from corp wallets that contributed to the negative balance

Nope. They shouldn't have spent it. This is the precedent CCP has set after the gamestop merc pack fiasco. Everyone QQ'ed about how unfair it would be if people who read the fine print and bought the merc packs because they said they would be refunded on commercial release. Now it's our turn. Consider this the appropriate amount of QQ. Play starter fits until you are back in the black, quit, or get your corp/corp mates to help you out. |
