I actually wanted to have the opportunity to explain these things to you but you kinda jumped ship which i dont mind to be honest. point is that things are okay now which allows me to put the time and effort into the CPM that it deserves.
I can understand why some imps may have misgivings about me being in the CPM, but i promise you all i will be doing everything i can in this position to help the community. Since early early early beta i have done so much to try and make this game a success and that will continue as i gain new tools to help the community as a member of CPM. You were tapped for your second X chromosome. End of story. whatever. See you at fanfest. ... Oh wait...
I don't plan on walking around with a sign that says Noc. So how will you know? |

Congratulations members of the CPM!
While I know I've had my disagreements with some of you in the past, and supported some of you as well, I hope that with you people fronting us, we can push DUST 514 into the realm of greatness alongside EVE Online, and not remain a notation in EVE Online's history. |

This is a joke, as I've defined in another thread.
Straight up all of these CPM members are rather self-serving. CSM 7 was absolutely terrible at communication and all of these CPM members have shown some less than savory behavior on the forums and in-game.
The only CPM member I would trust to voice my opinion on certain issues is Iron Wolf Saber and I don't know him that well. Either way, I find it very hard to put faith in two corporate honchos, a website blogger and a former CSM member of which that CSM was absolutely terrible at their job - voicing what THEY wanted to, rather than the community.
Looks like these members were selected solely due to their high profile in the 'community' rather than actually improving the game's experience for said community, but I suppose when you advertise yourself well you get all sorts of perks. |

I am not part of Jenza's corp by affilation, I am just a guest in Betamax as a closed beta tester involving in the testing community back then. I am there only as a welcomed Guest, I do not render political aid, I do not manage any leadership positions in the corp, I am just there to chat and help train. I will probably help field PC battles but only to get used to the systems and understand the game more. Dude, I was ok with you being on there until this BS statement. How can you seriously help guide Dust if this is the noncommital attitude you have? You are a part of Betamax, thats the end of that story. One corporation, and arguably alliance, should not have two members sitting on the CPM especially considering no one was elected. If the community elected them then whatever, but for two to be appointed from the same corp is corrupt and will instill a huge bias in the CPM.
its overly obvious that he will be his own entity shortly after release. playing with the same friends helps out thats all there is to that.

I'm being supportive of this group yet want to ask, is this a Betamax Reunion Tour? I just find it funny that all of you have been in Betamax at one time. Well NovaKnife stated that he was mistaken by Betamax as both a member and director.
Ok that's my only poke, now on to work. I'll have a thread up soon just to ask you all some questions. |

Jenza Aranda is the CEO of Betamax and the only real notable things I can remember her ever doing was a live stream charity number and posting some images of the new districts system from Buckingham on the Eve Wiki. Beyond that, she's just a corporate CEO and comes with all the baggage of being one and it's almost inevitable the members of her corporation take precedence over anyone else - such is the nature of these things.
Jagermeister was a CSM (council of stellar management) 7 member who specialized in Faction Warfare, ironic as it may be being as the moment he joined the CSM the Faction Warfare system was revamped and many of the issues were fixed anyway. Problem with the CSM 7 however (and many others before it) is that they simply did not give a flying **** about what the community wanted to see, and a number of them would only ever speak to the community during voting season. Worse yet, they wouldn't even bother reaching out to the community other than to say, "No, that's a stupid idea because I said so."
Edit: Honestly, all of these "candidates" are rubbish. Iron Wolf Saber was the only one who actually cared about the community as a whole and he's one of the most active members of the forums. Kane has his 'tournaments' to back him up but beyond that he's just another corporate CEO who's probably going to be guilty of what every other representative has been guilty of in that his corporation's ideals and opinions are going to come first.
That and the comment on AFKing through matches is just cheeky. |

Cerebral Wolf Jr wrote: RE corp tags, It's worth noting that both Kane and Hans are EX-Betamax too, but it's no important as Hans said. So what if 4 of them all have history with Betamax? What's important is their ability to get the job done, which is yet to be seen i admit. But i have high hopes and i do hope Hans sticks to his word about throwing people under the bus if they don't do their job.
Your right, no matter where they come from or been a part of does not determine their abilityGÇÖs to perform on this council. I just found it funny.
Cerebral Wolf Jr wrote:When i was interviewed, i never thought of you, i actually picked the 4 people who got voted in when asked for my opinion of it, my final choice was ZionShad because even though we have issues, i think he has the right attitude and commitment levels to get it done, but you'd have been my first choice had it crossed my mind.
Thank you for that Cerebral and it's intresting to find out there was a small vote between the candidates. Had I gone through with the interview in all honesty IGÇÖd voted for you as well.
With this CPM0 I'm going to not judge any of them based on their pasts, but will evaluate their performances through the coming months.
We as the Community need to engage them as representatives with our wants, needs and concerns in order to rightfully judge any of them. Time will revile if they are looking out for our best interests or theirs and if they fail, they will be replaced.

Really thats your claim to fame? I read the forums everyday and I can't recall you saying in on anything on the topics of dust. But I do see that you are a female instead of a male I apologize for mistaking that. But I guess that is why you were chosen over so many more qualified candidates, who actually have a voice within the community. Enjoy your free trip, and we will see you back in the community when you get back. Oh wait no we won't cause you don't participate in the forum discussions. |

You are very dumb.
How many other "more qualified" candidates, regardless of their gender, have been recognized by CCP not once but TWICE for their outstanding community support?

I'll judge when I see it actually improve. I, like many others I am sure, would like to see CCP dig up 5 people that played for a month or two and gave up hope. Those folks probably have the ideas, opinions, and attitudes to make it better.
Look at the representation in this thread. 10-12-15 corps represented?!? That in itself should be a wake up call seeing how this is a 'major' announcement. Beta for a year, open beta for a few months now, yet this is all the representation it can muster up.
AFKing...so what? The game doesn't allow the people who are backed up any realistic opportunity to escape the spawn zone AND the game makes it possible to spawn DEAD at the cost of a fit. So, I don't blame anybody for AFKing. As a matter of fact, EVERY MEMBER of a team that's backed up like that SHOULD ALL AFK in protest of what is plainly flawed.
If there is a fanboy that wants to argue the honor code, how much honor does it take to spawn/redline camp? Those claiming that it is fun have no balls. If you want to AFK honorably, bail out the MCC and don't hit the inertia dampener. The only people concerned with kdr are those that like the game for it's CHEAP kills.
I guess that's what my first statement is based on. Here is a group of players that has been chosen to represent the masses to the devs. Well, I guess it's been almost a year and the beta encourages spawn camping, redlining, mountain glitching, and AFKing. Then, on the 6th, a PC aspect is being added that will undoubtedly benefit ONLY the handful of Dust corporations that got the initial jump. With a few absent, those corps are the FEW represented here.
I hope that in you guy's tenure as consultants that you will do more to voice the opinions and ideas of those who did not have their ear to the ground. Judge for yourselves by the number of AFK-for-lifers. DUST needs those noobies to stick around for this thing to really take off and build an EVEN LARGER base in New Eden.
Remember that it is those noobs that need to be convinced, NOT the ones always on these forums that are all farts and giggles and ALWAYS satisfied with what is in place and proposed.

No one has mentioned betamax once on the streams or twitter and Im pretty much following everyone at fanfest. Do you even know there people? Have you said attention to all IWSs posts or Nova Knifes podcasts? Do you ever hear then mention their corps? No.
But it's hardly like some of the biggest corps in the game need advertising. Imperfects don't even do recruitment.
Im sick of hearing ignorant conspiracy theorists telling everyone the CPM is somehow going to rig the game. Seriously how much power do you really think they have? |
