Anytime something goes wrong or a mistake is made youre gonna back away and say that you just sat on the council and didnt really have anything to do with it. It also shows you will in fact not give the devs a piece of your mind. You will go along with whatever and then try to say it wasnt your fault when something goes wrong.
Someone sounds like they are trying to drag RL political issues into an imaginary universe lol. Look, this initial CPM is only temporary and is only here to basically pave the way for the player elected CPM and to get ideas flowing between CCP and the players. It doesn't matter if two or all of them are from the same corp as long as they are all dedicated to the betterment of Dust.
As for IWS, I don't doubt what he has to say about his position in Betamax because it seems I've heard that same thing numerous times in the past in these forums. But even if he WERE lying, what good would that do him? He only holds a non-elected position on a council of people who are gonna start shouldering the blame for everything that goes wrong with Dust, which means he holds no player earned position so his title holds no real weight with the community, and he's voluntarily taking the role of a scapegoat. You are basically accusing him of lying for no reason.
Now, you want to see a REAL complaint? Something that might actually impact the game?
THAT might actually end up impacting the game. I like Kain fine, I have no qualms with him and respect everything he's done for the Dust community, but it's undeniable that he pretty much led the charge to start accepting people who started exploiting those game mechanics in ways they were not intended to be used, which could end up influencing the way things are built in the game.
Kain being a pro-AFKer=somewhat troubling. IWS being a guest player in a corp who's CEO is also a CPM=not troubling in the slightest. If anything it means they might be in contact more to discuss important matters. |
