With the confirmation of not resetting the skill points back to zero. How about skill point reallocation? Since this is a beta I'm sure many have been testing different combinations of suits/vehicles. By now we have a nice picture of what direction we would like to go. Unfortunately a lot of SP was wasted on those test skills. It would be nice if we can have all our SP and put it where we would actually want when the game ends its beta run. Since passive SP counted separately from active we can maybe refund all earned SP and lose passive SP in exchange for an opportunity to reallocate SP.

Don't really care i'm happy with my skill points now. If they do anything to let you reallocate them then everyone would have it all on the best things and the game would be boring |

"Testing" you say? No, most people put points into AR/Tanks and don't bother to test anything. |

What's the best thing in game then?
What's best today might not be the best tomorrow.
Something you could find interesting here though.

If it was modeled after EVE with a once a year respec, would be a nice option.

Instead of beating around the bush with answers, is there anyway we could at least get a confirmation that once new racial dropsuits are added to the game, could we at least refund those points already spent in the dropsuits?
I am currently at a block with skill training and suit power. I need to train up a dropsuit to lvl 3 to get into a stronger setup. Yet I don't want to get to lvl 3 and then the next day Amarr Logisitics get released and I have to train up all over again. This seems like such a simple thing to confirm as I would assume they would be refunded... but... you know stranger things have happened. |

I believe that the best solution would be to allow relocation of skillpoints AT A COST based on amount of SP in question.
Ex:
-You only retain 60% of skill points, loosing 40%.
-Would cost Aurum or isk. Give the option to use either/or.
*1000 isk = 1sp 1AR = 1sp

Yet eve players do get refunds to respec when skills are changed but only if the skill is removed like when they got rid of the learning skills. But if they change a skill like Battlecruiser they will just give the skill to the other skills in the same group unless you have all four Racial Cruiser then you get a refund. |

Not to mention all of the new tank skills and dropships incomming. The number of skills is going to triple sooner than later a reset is obviously coming. And all the testing you've done won't help u pick what to respec into.
Where are you getting these numbers? Dont get me wrong, I agree they will be coming, but where are you getting 20 from? |

How is refunding XP that gives you diminished returns and costs isk and AUR a bad idea? Your basically disadvantaging yoursef in the long run of things to marginally increase other areas...
Have you never sold your car to buy a new one? THAT was a bad idea my friend... |

No resets No respec, outside of expensive, ineffective aurum gear* If a skill is removed from the game, give any SP back that was sunk into it
*: E.g. a 5.000 AUR thingy that lets you drop 1 skill by 1 level, returning you 80% of the SP. |

Observation: within 6 months (3 with boosters and regular playing) you should be able to have maxed out at least 1 complete branch such as Assault suit+rifles+armor+various. As such, respecing would not mean a whole lot since after maxing out in 1 direction, you can grow in different direction.
Remember, unline most other games, in Dust you grow wide, not tall. |

I went in different directions at times to test things and I wish I could reapply that to things I'm sure about. But I do understand the grow wide part. |
