So I was playing a match today with one of my female friends. She sets up as a sniper/scouter for our squid and calls in information as we are moving. The match starts and two guys, "Lieutenant Arc Angel" and "I'm Wilson", start shooting her and generally messing with her. They won't leave her alone. They then join our squad and start insulting her and women in general. She finally gets mad enough and insulted enough to shut down the console and since then won't play Dust. This wasn't the first time this has happened. So we go online just to find that CCP has no was of reporting issues like this. I'm a time when this issue has become so big they do nothing. 343i life-bans players that sexually harass female players, what does CCP do? How do you even report these actions?

How about instead of being an immature child and demanding lifetime bans because of words on the internet from people you'll never meet, you use the MUTE function and continue to play? There's no excuse for not just muting them and moving on like an adult. HTFU

In EvE should this have happened you would get a lot of your friends together to form a fleet then hunt the bastards down and kill them.

In Dust get 15 of your friends find them, challenge them, and grind their bones to dust over and over and over again.

Mute only stops part of the problem. Where you think this magical mute button is going to work is beyond me and exceptionally ignorant. Also to so openly and ignorantly claiming the uselessness of "words on the internet" shows your complete lack of information on how serious of a problem it is. I am making a post because my friends play this game to relieve stress of college, work, and military. These players aren't helping.

You really shouldn't be whining about them standing in-front of you and shooting you. That happens to everybody at some point. There language/remarks is the issue.

Says the middle class white male under the age of 25. Harrasment of any kind should never be tolerated. Yes, they are just "words on the internet", but if you wouldn't say them in real life, you shouldn't be saying them on the internet. If you wouldn't tolerate someone harrassing you in real life, you shouldn't tolerate on the internet. Doing nothing in situations like these is tantamount to condoning the actions themsleves. There's a reason we don't tolerate sexual harrassment, there's a reason we don't tolerate racism. It's the same reason we punish our children when they mouth off, or start hitting people. It's all about respect.

If someone harassed me in real life, and they have, I harass them back tenfold until they go away. Respect is earned, not freely given just because you exist; that degrades the concept of respect. The player did nothing to prevent the offense, so why should the mods do anything to punish them? Harassment and racism is necessary in society to produce strong minded, thick skinned adults. I was harassed as a kid, and I leaned very quickly to stand up for myself, a lesson I'd never learn if I wasn't harassed. You should be thanking the aggressors for trying to make you a better person, not trying to give them a lifetime ban.
