Why you guys playing. I wasn't going to bring anything up but I was in that match and you guys had people spawning up on the top of the structure. None of us were snipers so we couldnt fire at the guy. They were putting remotes on the letters and my mass driver wouldnt blow them up. Not sure what you guys had going on on that map. So before you start your rampage about you beat us, we have video footage of you noobs using some sort of glitch to get up to the point to where we couldnt fire back at you. I call bs on that match but we took it in stride

So this had been brought to my attention but I just got around to watching episode 2 of Boots On The Ground.
As for the Subdreddit match its self...regardless of having to play literally with every player we happen to have online that late we had multiple DC's and two forced suicides because of being stuck on terrain on first spawn. Now I know we've all had connection issues in corp matches before but when we didn't even get everyone into the match before our full shield was down and it ended with you guys only having just under a 1/3rd armour left...not exactly a victory to be proud of tbqh.

So for that we request a rematch.

These are simply two rematch requests.

STB is a great corp. One of the Best. Huge. Lots of members. We simply want the opportunity to make sure the ground we held and took from one of the best corps in the game was not a fluke. To be able to beat a corp like STB, and get that nod of approval for a good match is what this is all about. Not a fluke. Simply, a good fight against the best.
We win? We know where we stand, and need to keep up the good work. We lose? We know where we stand, and need to improve.
(I especially enjoyed listening to the Boots on the Ground vid and QG's take on Large Corp vs. Small Corp in the EVE/Dust meta game, once Dust is a little more open-world.

I think the matches will be great...and whatever happens , happens. I say good luck to us all and lets battle. As for the verbal battling and trolling, I personally have expressed my enjoyment witj having good matches witj and against stb through in game mail and the like, I enjoy a really good fight against a rival corp. I support Mavado's more realistic simulation of district battle mechanics.

This just seems like a small time grind that 24 dedicated players could fairly easily accomplish. That's just an 8 hour shift each, 1 battle per hour. I know there are a lot of guys out there that do more than this every weekend.

At 5 battles / hour this starts to get interesting that's 40 mercs on every hour for 24 hours at the same OPTEMPO, might be able to knock it down to 24 at 2 battles / hour, with a little down time in between (trying to stick with solid 8 man squads for simplicity)

So 72 mercs to cover all 24 hours if you want to stick with 8 hour shifts, 144 if you want 4 hour shifts. (I know the math is a little rough, but I just can't be assed to clean it up right now)

So who thinks they can handle 5 battles / hour for 24 hours straight? I'm truly interested.

I don't see anything ridiculous about my proposal. If other corps find it ridiculous, it just means they aren't yet on our level, plain and simple. Most of these corps are preparing for battles, we've been preparing for wars. If you other folks think 10 battles an hour is an unrealistic number, I think you're going to be pretty heavily underprepared for the game ahead.

We wont break our philosophy just cuz some game requires zerging to hold some virtual land. We will find ways to make our way work and have fun doin it. Whether others deem that successful or not i really dont care what matters most is that we get fights and we have fun.

Lastly, I know I've come off like a real pit bull in this thread, but it's because it was clear GIANT needed some persuading to get going. There was a lot of talking, but not a lot of walking. I still wish someone would take us up on a real fight that utilizes an actual corporation size of participants, but it's seeming more and more clear that such an endeavor is beyond the scope of most other corps as of yet.

In all seriousness, best of luck to GIANT tonight. I wish you guys no ill will, even if I do think you're afraid to fight a war rather than a battle. Furthermore I would like to mention that Giant had originally wanted the game delay to occur by us letting them win and them sending a neutral party over to retrieve our half of the funds to be used on a different day. We eventually agreed on us winning and sending it to them. The game lobby ended up dying and both sides were auto refunded.

I'm certainly thankful we didn't go with giant's plan now.

I also wanted to mention that during the negotiations I even talked about the fact that in the current setup screwing over another corp is foolish as the ISK is secondary, fun is primary. There is no reason to play against someone who you know might jerk you around.

I also wanted to make mention of my wager. Apparently I was wrong a lot this week, no one is needed to make giant's feel small. They are small men calling themselves giants.

I wholeheartedly believe this is all a misunderstanding that will be resolved in due time. It would be a shame for our Corporations to become true enemies over this series of unfortunate events. The troops are infuriated and will vent their rage in public ways. I will neither dissuade this behavior nor participate in it. They have been wronged, it is their due.

Having played with the unfortunate team leader in question, Gen, last night, I must say that if he is representative of your corporation then I look forward to a more collaborative relationship.

Perhaps we can work out an exchange program and fight some battles with mixed squads together? I would like the chance to work with T E X some more too, we did not have the opportunity to dispatch reds together and I think the experience would be beneficial.
