I wholeheartedly believe this is all a misunderstanding that will be resolved in due time. It would be a shame for our Corporations to become true enemies over this series of unfortunate events. Having played with the unfortunate team leader in question, Gen, last night, I must say that if he is representative of your corporation then I look forward to a more collaborative relationship.

Perhaps we can work out an exchange program and fight some battles with mixed squads together? I would like the chance to work with T E X some more too, we did not have the opportunity to dispatch reds together and I think the experience would be beneficial.

Heck I was actually able to communicate better with a deaf player than you were the majority of your team. At first I thought about letting it slide after your proto/hm82 heavy went down twice from my exile in close range with me in a damn type 1 logi. Tell your guy to pump his damn core skills if he couldn't put me down. He should be embarrassed. For the record after a peaceful postponing was set up I agreed to a training match and informed them I'd be trying to field newer guys who have not had corp battle experience. We agreed to tier 1 items and not push hard and get some experience for people. I also agreed to tell my guys to not shoot the dropship as he wanted to practice. I had my guys clean their fits and explain no don't use geks as this is about getting some experience and we had an agreement. I asked arunis permission for type 2 to avoid full refitting. The first enemy was fine we encountered, the heavy in proto armor with an 82 caused me to raise eyebrows, the assault in proto armor and a gek made the other one go up. The madruger tank was when I tried to check the channel and see if Arunis, who was on the other side leading thing, said anything. The snipers diving out of the dropship for tactical positions was when I began targeting his dropship to get his attention. I fielded last minute newbies in reduced gear in good faith and got burned for it. Shame on me. I will say I am pleased with my teams ability to listen after seeing Giant's side lack of. They followed instructions and refitted last minute, as well as left the dropship alone. Arunis admitted authorizing the MH82 onl, which confuses me since why the hell does someone need to use a much more expensive gun, the idea of him not having HMGs on hand is ludicrous. They also offered a consolation match, one militia only, the other them in militia only. I find it hard personally to trust it possible and the lopsided match doesn't interest me anyway as I don't enjoy the idea of fighting a gimped team just to boost my ego. To summarize the 100mil match was canceled, a training match at minimum cost was done instead. Giant won that. Congratulations on your hard fought victory gentlemen.

We eventually agreed on us winning and sending it to them. The game lobby ended up dying and both sides were auto refunded. I'm certainly thankful we didn't go with giant's plan now. I also wanted to mention that during the negotiations I even talked about the fact that in the current setup screwing over another corp is foolish as the ISK is secondary, fun is primary. There is no reason to play against someone who you know might jerk you around. I also wanted to make mention of my wager. Apparently I was wrong a lot this week, no one is needed to make giant's feel small. They are small men calling themselves giants.

That being said, yes there shouldn't have been geks or the madrugar, I agree with you on that, I ran my type2 with exile the whole time driving around in an lav while gen was doing air stunts. The hard thing about fielding the newer guys is that we don't openly recruit, making it difficult to field of team of new guys. Its basically guys that don't get in a lot of corp matches and vets wearing low end gear. No need to be so bitter about it and bash everyone for a slightly botched "practice match". Also, neither of the two heavies we had are even skilled up enough to run neo vk0s so that's impossible to the max

Also, if your trying to make it seem like we would have stole the isk, that's not the case. But what reason did we have to not believe that subdreddit could have potentially done the same thing to us? This is all a really unfortunate outcome , but what are we all gonna do about it. The matche's will happen eventually and we will all somehow find a way to move on in this crazy internet world.

Prior match I was talking to Arunis about how it'll be nice to get some experience for people who haven't gotten to play a corp match yet and during negotiations we discussed how we want to reschedule the game because the goal isn't the ISK it is a good game. I didn't come in expecting to win since I know you guys might not have had people on hand who were newer. I don't mind fielding who you can, but Arunis also knew I was going in specifically with newer guys. All these factors add up to excessive. You also can't discount the fact that you had people using an advantage that was specifically requested as non targeted. When you have snipers dropping on the roof from the dropship, a tank prowling the exterior, and a VK0 heavy watching the nearest objective my guys are gonna be in a bit harder of a spot. My biggest blunder was thinking "surely there is a reason I am not seeing". And you saw higher tier items because after the snipers began to drop on the roof I told everyone to go pub match gear, some may have went harder, I relied on them to do their thing as I was spending my time trying to get Arunis' attention to salvage what I was hoping was a good opportunity for both sides. also to be clear we had discussed options for the match including "R&D", Bumper cars, and training. Arunis had offered flying lessons if anyone on my side wanted it. In no way were we under the impression of a competitive match. I had told Arunis that it would be a good opportunity if anyone on their side wanted to try practice with odd weapons like burst or tact rifles. Not all of your guys ran higher tier stuff, but it was certainly out there. I also want to be 100% on why I am pissed at this. 1. I was trying to get some guys a chance to try something they hadn't gotten to do before, as when I was starting out I would have really enjoyed the opportunity. 2. I was looking forward to fostering some good will to plan more matches as it is something we would have liked to do for more variety in the game. 3. I had been pushing for trusting Giant in internal negotiations for planning the match cancellation. 4. If you had tricked us in a normal game with our experienced guys I would say we were dumb. Same tactics with the people we were normally gonna field then we need to be ready, I expect tricks in the future. But I shouldn't let it go when it is people I am trying to get more corp involved and being a smaller corp you should appreciate that. We want people to have fun as part of our community same as you and it doesn't help fostering communities when this stuff goes down. And for the record, correct, you don't openly recruit. You are tighter knit and know who you bring in. Not being able to communicate the purpose of the good will match is therefore confusing to me.

When ur doin practice matches or any match u dont just throw whoever online into a match, balancing ur team to make sure u have AV options and not a full team of ARs only is key but i shouldnt need to tell yall about team composition. PS: also how are ur tankers suppose to get practice if they dont use a std tank? limit the turret to adv tops

I believe the pilot could of just ran in militia infantry gear and worked on gun game. However, what I have to disagree with, is your accusation of a proto heavy. For clarification, Reaver and I were the only heavies in that match from giant, and we don't even have enough skill points to run proto heavy. I know for a fact that we both were running type-II. So I'm confused as to where your allegations are stemming from.
