Ending SUNDAY, March 24th 1700 GMT (12:00 NOON EST)
10 overlapping Corp battles per hour, for 24 hours straight.
The Corp that wins the most battles is declared the winner
No ringers, legitimate corp members ONLY.
We'll make it cheap to make sure you guys can afford it without issues, only 100k per battle (24 Million total on the line per corp).
You'll only need 80 guys online and playing at all times for 24 hour, surely any corp seriously intending to make a dent in New Eden can handle that, right?
You've got 24 hours from now to give us a definitive response. (deadline is Thursday March 14th, 20:00 GMT).

At 5 battles / hour this starts to get interesting that's 40 mercs on every hour for 24 hours at the same OPTEMPO, might be able to knock it down to 24 at 2 battles / hour, with a little down time in between (trying to stick with solid 8 man squads for simplicity)
So 72 mercs to cover all 24 hours if you want to stick with 8 hour shifts, 144 if you want 4 hour shifts. (I know the math is a little rough, but I just can't be assed to clean it up right now)
So who thinks they can handle 5 battles / hour for 24 hours straight? I'm truly interested. |

I don't see anything ridiculous about my proposal. If other corps find it ridiculous, it just means they aren't yet on our level, plain and simple. Most of these corps are preparing for battles, we've been preparing for wars. If you other folks think 10 battles an hour is a LOW number, I think you're going to be pretty heavily underprepared for the game ahead. |

but thats similar to how PCQ (Planetary Conquest) is gonna work seems u just want a system where u will have ppl on 24/7 to ensure an easy win
u get 24 battles. u can set ur times during the 12hr window however u want, we can set our "reinforcement time" for anytime during that window as well
if we REALLY wanna go all gay we can go full 24hrs and u can set bogus times to ensure u can possibly win 12 of ur fights on ur timers altho we would only need to win 1 cuz im quite confident in my guys winning all our 12 even if we gotta do them back to back to back to back and we would just need to meet 1 of ur times to get our 13th win
But id ideally actually want to get fights and not get blueballed since we are quite bored of this build and this is good practice up to u guys im just trying to make this fun and get some good fights
PS: we could tweak the #s but 24 was an initial number i threw out since i havent spoken to anyone yet about this |

who is talkin trash? u hurt my feelings assuming such things all i suggested was a revision of ur idea based on what the dev blog presented because im bored.
why do u assume we underprepared? Why do u assume CCP will turn this game into a zerg = autowin game? thats pretty boring tbqh especially for an FPS and pretty sure in EVE as well based on what i constantly read.
U have ur ways of recruitment i have mine. This game wont last forever and i sure as hell wont hav a bunch of numbers on my team just for the hell of it like PRO. We build tight knit grps that enjoy playing with each other and competitive by nature
We wont break our philosophy just cuz some game requires zerging to hold some virtual land. We will find ways to make our way work and have fun doin it. Whether others deem that successful or not i really dont care what matters most is that we get fights and we have fun.
Sov is just a means to get fights.

my point is that people all want to challenge and judge us on the terms that THEY are preparing for, and then can't seem to fathom that maybe some corps simply have different priorities. So, we have begun challenging people on OUR terms, to show that, we too, have things that make us powerful and cannot me matched by most other corps. It's a reminder not to so narrowly define victory, but also a legitimate challenge we are making in an attempt to get more of our guys involved.
Other corps may be able to claim the strongest 1-8, because that's been their goal, but I'll put our 50-300 up against anyone's and I think we will shred through them like bitter.
If you don't think Subdreddit is going to be hitting an average of 10 district battles per hour, you don't know us very well my friend. |

Lastly, I know I've come off like a real pit bull in this thread, but it's because it was clear GIANT needed some persuading to get going. There was a lot of talking, but not a lot of walking. I still wish someone would take us up on a real fight that utilizes an actual corporation size of participants, but it's seeming more and more clear that such an endeavor is beyond the scope of most other corps as of yet.
In all seriousness, best of luck to GIANT tonight. I wish you guys no ill will, even if I do think you're afraid to fight a war rather than a battle. I know Dent thinks most of you are good guys (I haven't had any real exchanges with you folks outside the aptly titled "war room"), and Dent's assessment of character carries a lot of weight in my book. |

I'm sure subdreddit among other large corps will be putting out the fight that much, I doubt there will ever be a definitive "I'm the best corp cuz I own the most districts" type thing going on. It will take numerous alliances and corps working together. A rediculous number of districts will be changing hands on a daily basis and this is where the fun will come from ... for me at least. A non stop power struggle. And some corps will not even care aabout controlling anything, they will just be making attempts to mess with others.
In any case, I'm very interested in seeing the fruits (if any) of subd/pro alliance and mass recruit campaign. |

Something to be aware of:
BLACK SCREEN BUG
There's a pretty big bug that has surfaced with today's build. A lot of guys are getting black screens, a lot of the time. The bug forum is full of these threads, our own guys are experiencing it regularly.
So, expect a likely very buggy match and prepare accordingly. I don't want you GIANT guys being surprised when a couple of your guys end up incapacitated, we want a fair fight.
I haven't checked it out, but I'll be on in a few hours to see how bad it is. If it's actually as awful as it sounds and you guys want to reschedule, we are willing to entertain the idea. If it's not a concern, so be it. I'm down either way really. |

this is not EVE and this is on console and most console clans wont ever have the numbers u guys deal with in EVE so dont expect CCP to sell the game for EVE players thats bad business
dont expect this game to be 100v100 or some ******** large fights like that CCP already said they want small grps to be able to do something, they already said zerging would be a terrible strat for conquest
CCP does not want this game to be EVE where numbers = win because only a very small grp would be able to do anything and that is not what they want.
i fully expect 24v24 or 32v32 to be max fights u see in a battle anything higher an it just pushes fps console players away from the game which is supposed to be marketed at them not u. U want unlimited numbers/retardedly large numbers in a fight there is a game for that called PS2 or EVE.
look on themittani.com and see the article on how the same zerging is killing that game apparently. FPS audience likes stuff to at least be somewhat skill based and not numbers based. Making it numbers based means its like EVE no matter how bad u are u can win cuz u can just throw more bodies at something, **** like that is terrible for any FPS.
Anyway was trying to just make some interesting battles and thanks for the heads up of the bug for G I A N T Baal, started seeing that today got it once. Usually happened right at the start of the match so to ppl playing these matches have ppl on standby to jump in or u can simply have ur guy press start leave game and rejoin |

I really hope that CCP is able to accommodate corps of all sizes. I want to see 100v100 battles, but I want smaller corps to have a place too. Its a big universe, hopefully there will be enough variety for all to coexist as we attempt to slaughter each other. |
