Also, we don't have a corporate ladder because I don't give roles to anyone besides my brother, and this system has worked with my corp of 100+ for years. From the EVE side we take a ventrilo vote and whoever is there decides policy, and I make the changes necessary. Everyone has equal say, just not actual roles to steal crap.

Thank you to the unrecognized corps as of yet that are offering. I hope you rise up.
I would need to squad with peeps for a while before I decide. Actually become friends with them before I commit.
If you see me, invite. We'll see. |

Funny thing is, I just want full squads. Corps got more of the attention. I'm some times inches away from an orbital. And, no. it's not selfish if I'm top of the score sheet, don't get an orbital, but want one. Obviously I'm doing SOMETHING.
And by the way, if, in you're argument you accuse someone of assuming something, while you assume something yourself, you need to become more self conscious. |

The squad system sucks, sucks worst that the last system. Now, instead of complaining about a squad that's not full, I'm complaining about being squad leader of nobody.
Occasionally a person or two will join the squad and I think, awesome, an orbital is in the cards. Except these blue dots go 0-6 and possibly manage 100 war points each.
I often get around 2000 war points myself, and to be short changed by terrible blue dots is a kick in the pants. Then I try to be thankful that they even knew enough to join a squad. But only after I begged/ instructed them to join a squad.
I bet I know what some of you are thinking. Join a corp. On to part two: I hate corporations. I've tried two of them, but all corps are the same. Full of politics. And to be honest, I'm antisocial in real life, so I don't know how to climb the corp ladder over a microphone. My problem I guess.
My point is I don't want to join one if I don't have to. Hopefully CCP will offer individual merc contracts in the future.
Most corps are full of great players, but lack any decency when it comes to crushing non corp blue dots. They fiend the red line like they are so thirsty for blood and camp cru's like that is fun or fair. They will pull out two tanks and a drop ship in a random pub match with a victory in the bag, which, I guess isn't terrible, but I still hate them for it.
Funny thing is, if they are not in their corp squad, they don't try during games and sometimes even quit. Catching them alone is ten times different. Suddenly, their invincible magic is greatly reduced. I sometimes wonder if its the same person.
Back to orbitals . . . while I'm praying to get an orbital (sometimes I do, at the tail end of the match when the game is about to expire, so I barely have time to look at my map, let alone get somewhere safe to call one) . . . while I'm doing that some corp gets orbitals early and often. I've seen corp squads get three in a match while I'm can't even eek out one.
I'd understand if I got a lot of grief for this thread. The blue dots that don't join squads probably don't read the forums either.
Vent over. This game might just not be for you. I mean that in all seriousness. Some MMOs can be played somewhat on your lonesome, but this one and EVE put far more of a premium on social groupings. I don't think you're ever going to have much success trying to lone-wolf in this game. |

You were with hell storm for a while, we knew you're a good player, it was just bad timing on that one.
You complained that you couldn't find a squad, we broke squads apart to make smaller squads to get you in with a group as well as invited you to our alliance chat channel with 4 other corporations we frequently squad up with.
You are being very honest saying that you are anti-social, but as far as not being included if you aren't part of the top 8, not getting into corp matches, a little more patience than the 3 or 4 days that you had with us is generally required as we all work and don't always have someone on to host/join a corp battle with you. We schedule corp battles all the time, if you had joined our website you would have seen when they are (GMT and your local time), who they are against, and how many people have signed up from our corp for each battle. Instead of just sitting in corp chat waiting for one. Long and the short of it is that if you want to be included in things that are team play oriented, you have to put a little effort in to make others aware that you are interested in actually playing as a team without waiting for that elusive invite.
Sorry it didn't work out in CrimeWave for you, you are still welcome to squad with us any time. Best of luck to you. CrimeWave was good to me and I kinda jumped the gun a little. I had joined the website. I dunno, I messed up leaving. But I guess I was not patient. you gotta give things a chance. |

The matchmaking system is bad at the moment. Hopefully CCP will find a way to remedy this. As it is, you might find yourself in a team of random players playing 2 squads of corp members. Corps may likely work together, may have much more advanced gear and possibly redline their opponents. This is absolutely no fun for the losing team and I dislike being on either side. CCP needs to find a way to balance teams. Give the losing team some sort of boost, CCP. Since they likely won't get many if any orbitals which could potentially help them while the winning team, that doesn't need orbitals, may end up being able to toss back to back bombardments. An idea is to remove the WP requirement and put orbitals on a timer of cooldown. Any variation like that could work. Give the new and random players a way to enjoy the game rather than them simply getting destroyed by over powered players. |

At KEQ, on some days we run contracts in rapid succession that are specifically for new players and those who don't get into many inter-corp battles. I think your hasty write-off of all corporations being the same needs a second consideration. |

OP the right corp for you is out there I promise. One full of cool peeps that will make you feel comfortable where politics are not an issue. Try out a few.
Edit note: patience is key. People got to get to know you to be excited squading with you. I ran games off and on with my current corp for a month before I joined. OTB has been VERY good to me because of that. |

I dont hate corps or even going solo its most likely the matchmaking or lack of it
So you run solo and are put against 2 4man groups in every battle and may get the odd one where its filled with solo ppl like you but its rare, either way you get a beat down for 20-30min and blame your useless team while doing what you want and trying to get points anyways and if it becomes hopeless sit in the MCC and read a book
Then on the otherside you group up with 4ppl, friends or corpys and what happens? its your 4man group and another 4man group against solo ppl and that becomes a borefest where you end up tank racing around the map and generally being bored
Cant ******* win atm
Then to add to that i really dont see the advantage of joining a corp just yet, CB 8v8, getting paid as a merc? only if the corp has enough and may need you for 8v8 but majority of clans do have 8ppl so going out as a merc for hire doesnt yet work or get paid anyways since most corps wont pay you |
