Honestly, Shad, I wasn't paying attention to the gravity of what you were telling me. I was too focused on my charity stream and then work this morning. I'll take any Dust event or happening and try to combine it with other things folks are doing in the community to focus people and make the end event even bigger.

The e-mail was NOT related to the event Kain has put together and we have supported. It was more for my work in FW with Villore Accords LINK HERE

I have to say I'm a little surprised by all the drama that arose from this. This isn't the first time we've contacted the player community to help promote DUST and it certainly will not be the last.

We have plans to contact other CEOs of DUST corps to promote dust in other ways, we just don't have the manpower to process dozens of events all at the same time, and so we will need to pace this out over weeks. It just so happens that Zion was the first CEO we contacted. So fear not, we have plans for other leaders of DUST corporations and get others involved.

And please, don't player hate.

If that was the case then why couldn't you just have given shad something else to do? Yes Zion SHOULD have contacted Kain before accepting, but you're to blame CCP for asking him to do Kain's job.

He'd already asked you several times if this was ok. Why would you blatantly rip-off his project and give it to someone else and then act surprised when people are mad?

LOL It had nothing to do with Kains project. What you are saying is that from here on out anytime a Capsuleer shoots an orbital on a DUST Merc it is all because of Kains events. I was simply asked to record one battle with OB support. That was it.

ZionTCD has already been actively taking contracts with Eve Corps to take Systems/Planets

Never knew what Kain sent that mail to CCP. Now it brings me back to working together. That way there is communication, but its over now.

If by taking System/Planets you mean intentionally exploiting the system so that Zion TCD can flip systems without any fighting due to the current unfinished nature of the Faction Warfare system then I guess you are right. Zion TCD doesn't want good fights they want to game the system. Mentality's like this will kill the game. No one will play a fps where the main goal is to duck battles and not actually fight.

Unfortunately, that much is true about FW being broken as it is. Shad just wanted to force CCPs hand to fix this as soon as possible.

One way of doing this is to actually take advantage of it by contacting Eve Corps to play their part in it. It might not be the best way to do it but it seems to be the most effective in the shortest amount of time.
