You're right in pointing out my error though, what we're actually talking about is the "commercial release". Well I am not the one who doesn't know how to use the petition system to get items that are missing from previously bought merc packs. And complaining to me is not going to get your items restored either.
Again, for me, this isn't about the items as much as it is about the principle. CCP seem to think it's perfectly fine to play fast and loose with my money, and don't see a need in communicating in clear language when they decide to no longer honor the product they advertised at the time of purchase.
I don't care about the items, I care about CCP's laissez faire approach to this entire process, and what it portents of future dealings within the game. |

Well, then you are bad with money.
How is it in any way "whining" to expect CCP to communicate clearly when they change the provisions of a product you've already purchased? If anything, I'd say the people bringing this up are, for the most part, being surprisingly even keeled and respectful about the whole thing. |

My god in heaven.
So many people here acting like internet lawyers.
This reminds me of some wannabe internet lawyers in Eve Online complaining that suicide ganking in high-sec space is against the Terms of Services posted by CCP because said internet lawyer calls ganking 'griefing' and that by allowing these ganks, CCP is allowing 'griefing' which is against the TOS. Silly, right? |

I would say there's a pretty huge difference between what you are describing, and just straight up not giving the person the product they purchased. |

Now, this is not an official response or anything, but reading the description on the Merc Pack on the PSN Store, they make a point of saying "Commercial Release" separate from Beta Resets etc. Again, this is not an official response, but how I read that is when the game is Commercially Released, the particular items from the Merc Pack will be refunded.
In saying this however, The 22nd is NOT Commercial Release. This is Open Beta. You will not get, and nor should you expect, the refund at this point. That refund will come on Commercial Release.
To anyone continuing to say EvE is still Beta, please refer to my previous post earlier in this thread. |

Sue CCP/Sony? Good luck, most countries have provisions in their laws to make sure that people who are too anal about following the letter of the law won't clog the legal system with cases of meaningless lawsuits. I'm pretty sure non-refundal of AUR because of 2 different release dates falls under this category.
I think you'll have more success crying to your mom, at least she can give some emotional support. I will get my money back through SOE. It won't take suing. You, however, are free to bend over and take it however you please. I won't judge.
If you get your aurum refunded than any sp you gained using boosters purchased with that aurum should also be removed. still want your aurum back? |

I find it hard to believe they aren't going to reset again when the game goes full release, it makes no sense to give a small group of players such an epic advantage over people who start playing when the game is out of beta. |

Seriously dude. We as a community, an infant one at that, have much bigger issues to deal with than some stupid minor description that a lot of us here don't even care about anymore at this point. You got what you paid for. You experienced resets and after every reset you were refunded your AUR and certain items that came with the merc pack. You also experienced CCP's DEFINITION of a commercial release (welcome to permanent beta - Eve Online style) and therefore your character was reset and refunded as promised for the final time. You and I were even notified at least a week or two in advance about this final reset.
Therefore, quit your whining.
NO REFUND FOR YOU!
WRONG, I purchased my mercenary pack on 1/12/2013 after the last reset, and it was still displaying that message. I don't care how minor you may think it is. It clearly stated I should have been credited back, regardless I've contacted Sony filed my complaint. Any got my $20 credited back into my account. So quit your hating just because your too dumb to read fine print idiot! |

No _PLANNED_ wipes. If there is another wipe then we get our stuff returned to us.
I have a feeling that if CCP did remove the SP cap, there'd be a reset when people are running around with several million SP after day one. |
