I use an optical mouse standard 10 dollars mouse from walmart..
The sensitivity before Codex was ok, couldn't turn really fast but i was still able to aim accuratly (when i didn't have lag spikes)
My first battle... In codex:
I turned my sensitiviy all the way down to minimum.. it did nothing. I cannot aim. I go to aim and its rediculous trying to get the crosshair directly where i usually would. I was looking forward to this.. and now .. i feel like its gunna be a looong wait until the NEXT update..
CCP, can you 'quick' fix this, am i the only one having this issue or do all you other people using mice just Flick a sensitivty switch on your mouse and your set. I can't do that.
Please respond. |

I must of looked like a complete idiot/noob with that Laser Rifle.. SHOOTING LASERS EVERYWHERE AND SKIMMING OVER THE TARGET !!! oh that really did some good damage a little zap there ( sarcasm ) the only reason i got kills was b.c they were shooting at someone else and i had to crouch to steady my aim even then it was difficult if they were moving. |

Yeah, at 0 or 100 sensitivity, the crosshair just jumps around all over the place. Making aiming impossible. |

Same problem.. reason I came on forums... glad to know its not just me. Mouse sensitivity set WAY to high on 0. Before Codex it was just about right, but probly could of even been bumped down a little from there.
Logitech Performance MX Mouse.
Apparently the Shanghai office is on vacation until 10/16/12 so their will be no updates until then. Hopefully i'm misunderstanding that sticky and they will be doing hotfixes... otherwise this game is unplayable until then for me :( |

I too have a problem with the speed but mostly the Y-axis speed is half that of the X-axis which is very disorienting when you need to shift along the Y-Axis |

Pretty sure CCP knows about it as changing the mouse sensitivity has no effect (as in completely broken, not just annoying). Don't worry, I really doubt they're going to let that slide until the next build since it makes the game unplayable for a lot of people. Besides, everyone complained that the controls were crap (and they were) and fixing them was part of what they wanted to do with this build. They're going to fix it as soon as they can since this is an FPS...controls are the among the most important aspects of any game but for an FPS they are everything. CCP isn't goin to let this slide. I guess a bunch of people use playstation move (or maybe not, I don't really care) but a TON of FPS players use kb/m so don't worry, it'll get sorted soon. |

Yep. Too fast but love that it's not like playing in molasses any longer. However, yeah, need to make the adjust mouse sensitivity slider work again, as it does nothing currently. |

I've been with CCP playing EVE for years through many major and minor patches. If something is a minor inconvenience they'll get to it at some point when they feel like it or a dev might tell you "too bad suck it up" (a bit more PC than that in their wording, most of the time anyway). If anyone remember how the Catalyst would make like a bad M.C. Escher sketch every time you undocked for like 5 years.
But when something big is completely broken, like the controls, they're on that in a day, maybe less. Hopefully they won't make me regret defending them, but they really do fix this kind of stuff real quick. After the last major update to EVE some players (like myself) couldn't run multiple clients without the lag making the game completely unplayable. I'm talking sometimes less than a frame a second for me. They had that fixed in 2 days. So just be patient and they hopefully won't let us down. |

Considering all they have given to the PS3 I think you are not taking a long shot betting for CCP on this. Honestly, I think this game has breathed new life into the PS3 . I haven't been this excited for a multiplayer game since ...ever- On the PS3 that is. |

My x-axis sens is through the roof. it helps using a mouse with hardware dpi setting a bit lower but nothing compared to previous patch. And my y-axis barely moves at all. playing as sniper seems the least worse option atm. |

Have you tried activating mouse smoothing? I have a 6400 dpi R.A.T. 7 and mouse smoothing reduced my sensitivity substantially AND smoothed out the twitching of the crosshairs. |

razer lachesis mouse, same problem - sensitivity setting doesn't appear to affect camera move rate.
I dont think the joypad sensitivity bars affect the joypad sensitivity either. I know its a bit inaccurate, but I stuck them at 100, faced a door, then span 360, I managed to count to 5, stuck them at 0 and repeated, got to 5 again. |

I think you guys might be confusing the word sensitivity with rotational limit or speed. The max stick movement will be the same for 0 or 100 but it changes the "sensitivity" for more precise movements. Its like changing the ramping effect from 0 stick deflection to 100 stick deflection from linear to a curve. The beginning and ending stick speeds are the same but the speed that it gets to full turn, is what the sensitivity is changing. At least that is what it feels like to me. |

This is Krightun (OP)..
( i have to use an alt account/char b.c i glitched my main account char by deleting it and recreating the same name - can't log into forums on the main ) yeah .. so..
I see a lot of people are still having problems with mouse sensitivity. someone said something about the 'max turning speed' yeah i know about that, a while back someone mentioned they'd put ''hard turn limiters'' into Dust so you can't spin around with any gun Really fast.
I'd be playing right now, but i hate using controllers with FPS, and i can't aim with the mouse with the sensitivity in its current state.
I dont think controller sensitivity has any effect on Mouse sensitivity, it shouldn't really. ( whoever said it does / or might )
anyways.. post if you have same issue or if you have info on when this might be fixed.
