if there's no response today, should i email Dust support? ( not trying to rush them to fix this but it is an important issue )
a response(here) as to if they're ' working on it ' or something would be great, a relief.. and maybe when there will be a hotfix/quick fix.

turn on mouse smothing as a temp measure. and this hotfix would take 10 seconds i'm assuming it's just a value change. they are just trying to **** off mouse keyboard players. |

Same problem. I have my sensitivity at 0 and it's still too high. Going to take a break from the game until this gets sorted out.
And pretty please make it so I can select my spawn point with the keyboard and mouse. |

If you have a mouse in which you can setup its DPI you are fine. I have Trust GXT 31 mouse model where you have small button on top of it which change DPI from 100 to 3000 and if you have 100 DPI you can play smoothly with standard settings (60 sensivity, no mouse smoothing). Yes, when you have mouse with high DPI its really bad to play. The playing experience should be the same regardless what kind of mouse you have. Change that CCP to previous settings please. |

not everyone has a DPI switch option.
I'm using a standard optical mouse, the sensitivity is set to lowest, and it's still rediculous. other people with nice mice that have a DPI switch still complain of the same problem.
You're lucky if you can switch it to 'playable' but for the rest of us..

Yes, its quite playable and I feel like there is less lag. But as I said it must be changed. Not everybody want to go to shop and pay about 20 EUR for gaming mouse.

Agreed, make it changeable .... in options please... at least let us make it slower. With this kind of sensitivity you cannot hit nobody even if he is just few feet from you . |

Don't know if anyone pointed this out, and I'm to lazy to skim for it - go into accessory settings in the XMB, go to "pointer speed" or "mouse speed" and turn it down. There are 3 speed settings native to the PS3, and they make a pretty large difference. I haven't tried KBM yet this build so I'm not sure if this will fix it for you guys, but it's worth a shot. |

na doesnt work. not buying a new mouse to play this wasted money on a ps3 as it is. NDA or not fix it soon or you'll be banning me for posting on other forums warning people not to buy this game and especially not to buy the ps3 bundle. |

I tried changing the pointer option recently, and it didn't do anything for me. thanks for the suggestion though. |

Just an additional observation to add to this:
Doing a little testing in the MQ, I found that moving the mouse at a slow or moderate pace made a much GREATER movement in the character. This is backwards! It behaves as if you had a negative "mouse acceleration" value.
I think what this causes during gameplay is frustrating because small movements (aiming) are jerky, and large/fast movements (looking, turning around) are slowed.
Mouse smoothing greatly slows the movement rate, but worsens the lack of response for fast movements...that's to be expected with this feature I would think.
Logitech G400 hardware switch works. In the last build it didn't seem to do much at all, so that's one step forward I suppose. |

what really bothers me is how this got past internal testing before it was released to sony for patch approval (and that was weeks ago probably). they cant even get the button mapping right/consistent.
x on the ps3 controller correlates to what exactly is it left mouse button E or the space bar? make your mind up. it's like watching a child that doesnt know their left from their right. again how did this get past internal testing?
this game is turning into just another **** console port. and whats worse it's still on a console. |
