title says it all.
swarms went from 350 dmg per missile to 250. a loss of 400 to 600 damage varying by tier.
forge guns were also nerfed across the board. in DIRECT damage.
BAFFLING! good for me i speced into tanks like 2 days ago.
thanks CCP... i guess?

so were AV nades... now they're gonna cry after i hit their LAV with one and fire assault rifle into LAV while AV is still travelling through the air and then want the AR nerfed also after it still blows up their LAV |

Tank driving requires a large amount of skill, concentration, and teamwork. AV is just an I win button. CCP wanted to help even the playing field out is all. |

Swarms were probably nerfed because they were too powerful against dropships. I'm certainly excited to have my dropship last a little longer in the sky.
AV grenades were one or two-shotting extremely expensive LAVs. Kinda imba, that.
Forge guns lost range because they were being used to gank infantry. Not sure about the damage thing. Maybe they were being used on LAVs and dropships a lot, too? I never had one used on my dropship, but I've lost militia LAVs to them. |

I agree that the AV grenade should not be a one-off weapon; however, the extent to which the swarm launchers and the forge guns have been nerfed is terrible. There is no reason the only forge that can take out a militia starter LAV is a prototype one, and a dropship or Marauder? You might as well forget about it because I have had a couple matches today where over 6 people were firing swarms and forge guns at a dropship the entire match and we never broke its shields. |

I have to agree WHY NERF THE AV WEAPONS! They could just lower the forge gun's direct damage to infantry. Now the thing I just don't get why neft the swarm launcher.....why? The AV grenade nerf....meh I don't mind. |

I just can't believe swarms are considered overpowered in any aspect whatsoever, and that's before todays hotfix.
As people learn to fly dropships, they're gonna find they're more than capable to outwit these dumb swarms. We're already seeing competent dropship pilots outrun multiple swarm volleys until they peter out. And It's not like you can inject skill into the actual operation of a swarm launcher other than a clear line of sight/considerations into elevation, lay of land etc which is just obvious. Doesn't seem to help however |

you guys need to see av weaponry as they will operate with the addition of ewar. if you can webify tanks and shut down their guns, av weapons will be even more efficient than they were before the nerf.
you cant stop a tank yet, so the av needs to be a little more damaging to give av a chance until you get ewar......my humble opinion... |

DID AV grenades or swarms get more ammo? Did the tanks lose their infinite ammo?
Did they lower the cost of my dropsuits, which now that it takes me 15+ suits to destroy a tank equals that my suits cost more than said tank by a wide margin.
And someone tell me why flux grenades don't lock on to tanks like full AV grenades?
WHO has no HONOR in this one CCP?
The only thing that would make this better would be the IN-valid glitch still breaking up groups that could field a defense for the super tank. |

That's why dropships needed survivability vs swarms, so they'd have some ability to fight back. |

The long time beta players who train for HAV every build probably cried to the devs on IRC that they need AV nerfed for these corp battles or else they would surely lose too many tanks and end up having no money by the time tomorrows corp battles start.
So to fix that and take care of their buddies the devs went ahead and nerfed AV for the weekend.
You know how people always say the CSM is mostly nullsec "special interests" and the majority rarely benefit? Its kinda like that. |

What I don't get is that...nobody was complaining about anti-vehicle efficacy. In fact, quite the opposite. Anti-vehicle weapons still seem really underpowered. The Forge Gun was definitely hit too hard, probably at the insistence of a few community members who were crying delicious tears about Forge Gunners "sniping". If anything, the Forge Gun needed to lose damage versus infantry and keep its range for anit-vehicle. As it is right now, I have no idea why I'd bother to take it over a Swarm Launcher. Then CCP preempts the thought that I might start taking a Swarm Launcher as my anti-vehicle and nerfs that as well?
The word "temporary" is in bold on the post regarding the AV nerfs. We as a community should demand a reason. If it's not good enough, this change should be reverted There is literally no conceivable logic that can justify what was done to Forge Guns and Swarm Launchers to my mind, but I'm open to hearing something, anything that could sway my mind.
Unilateral changes without giving a proper reason are nothing short of ridiculous in game balancing. If it isn't broken, pray tell why you're "fixing" it? |

First up, it wasn't directed at you or I would have quoted your statement. It was directed at the entire tank using population, & ccp no one player was singled out. Simply put you were the poster above mine, blame ccp's also stellar forums for not knowing who I was replying to.
Now I will respond to you, consequences be damned, seems like I hit a nerve, how about you stop and think a minute before you post, now we have tangled about the tank issue in the past, maybe that has played a role in you jumping to the conclusion that it was directed at you, but as with everything else on this forum I pay little heed to it, and FYI when i started typing your little rebuttal or rebuke to those voiceing a valid gripe against tanks was not even on my screen yet.
To quote one of those lovely little snide comments everyone seems to enjoy: "I hope your suits go invalid" |

SOME surviveability is fine, but they can survive an entire team of AV fire being applied consistently with ease. The amount of nerf done is absurd. |
