If you want to kill us, level up the appropriate gear. Militia gear don't really do the trick. It's as simple as that. We leveled up into tanks. Real tanks, not militia tanks. So, it only makes sense that it takes other than militia gear to kill em. Don't come out solo with a militia swarm launcher then cry that you couldn't kill the tank.

Then leave the battle! It is an option!

Lmao. You don't even know the extent of it. Not everyone that is with STB, has an STB tag on their name. I see separate threads about some of our other players people are complaining about that they don't even realize are STB.
That being said, there are only a few of us that skilled tanks. If you want to kill us, level up the appropriate gear. Militia gear don't really do the trick. It's as simple as that. Me and the crew i run with have killed STBs tanks twice in one match. I know i can get one of them almost dead solo sometimes, but then they just run and fully repair and all that jaz. Then come back and one shoot me.

Once tanks are slower and have limited ammo will be nice.... SOON

Use swarms against armor tanks and use forge guns against shield tanks, you'll see better results.

then that's a logistics problem on your team and i'm not talking about the suit.. besides how are you going to drive 4 tanks into biomass and communications where there's plenty of places that only infantry can go.. some maps are built for tanks that's just the way it is.. if you don't like tanks don't go out in the open, but we don't have battle finder right now so you're just stuck with..

and before one of you MORONS (i'm not talk about the guy I'm replying to) accuse me of wanting my easy mode in tanks I have absolutely no sp invested in tanks.. all of my sp is in assault/ar and dropships..

I have a nice tank setup, and to anyone using anything past standard, I'd recommend just dropping back to standard, all you get is more high powered slots, and I doubt anyone can actually fill all their high/low powered slots to begin with.

I use my tank every few games, because I prefer to be on foot, for the time being.
(until I get gunships got damnit)

I've only ever fought them while they were on foot, and they win by coordination. Cry more.

Yeah lol, we have 2 tank drivers Ted and Lurch they are both very good so every one thinks that STB is a tank corp but most of our guys use ARs or SMGs.

I dont have a problem with STB but these threads are just stupid now. The only reason they get so much attention is cause they all have STB in front of there name. Dont get me wrong they do got some good players but i've gone up against better players in this beta so far.

That's the Creative Director for Planetside 2 filming our platoon of 48 holding off several hundred NC as they come at us with tanks, aircraft, and infantry airdrops. I love playing on the same team as STB because they remind me of us.

One day the STB tag in character names is going to be the biggest joke in DUST / EVE.

It shows a pretty naive approach towards the kind of social interaction that goes on inside corps and alliances in serious internet spaceship games like EVE. There are fatal flaws with this that will lead to recruitment issues and internal conflict through them/us group sentiment.

In a couple years they'll just be some small random corp of guys who joined in beta.

I wasn't in a tank when I running headshot Omnipotens Zitro the other night, and for the record, I'm EV/PANDEMIC.

The Zitro brothers (never ever annoy them off if they are on the enemy side together) are in Betamax. Different corp entirely. Which I'm in :P
Also I heard from several people on IRC that STB runs with their tails between their legs when betamax join a game. Rightly so since we consist of several current top players (Nova, jenza, Noc, rucdoc, Grideris, the Zitro's etc).
But hey we'll see the results on the battlefield >:)

A team of decked out tanks and people who play this game religiously versus randoms in a broken beta. That's pretty much all I've noticed when I see STB, just gotta deal with it or leave. Myself I play too casually to have a bunch of AV gear leveled up enough to take down a STB tank, I've tried a few times and it takes a ridiculous amount and they'll easily get away because of how much damage tanks can take. I know, I had one in the last build, it was stupid, I could have a couple of people with proto SL focused on me and still get away easy... 2+ tanks like that vs randoms early in a build? Man, talk about free kills!

It does suck being stuck against them with a bunch of randoms though, out matched in terms of equipment and they're used to it, probably know the maps MUCH better, have a coordinated team.. makes all the difference really. It does make the beta blow once in awhile when you get stuck in a super stacked match after trying to jump into a match and dealing with errors for half an hour lol. I would probably find it more enjoyable if I had the SP to compete, or at least a couple of good players to fight back with.

I personally don't care though, this build still doesn't hold my attention much.. not enough to bother grinding into it so that I can roll over people EZ mode like.

I can see how it would ruin the experience for others but it's not like it hasn't been done in the other betas, people no life it, get a bunch of SP, have a giant advantage over their low SP opponents.. it's just now people can group, so it's even worse lol. That sucks for those that try to play.

Can't wait for release :) Will see more clans, and hopefully much better matchmaking. Still very imbalanced.

By all means, do what you do, but don't try to say you're something you're not. The only time I've ever seen an STB player on foot, he ended up going something like 3-11, and I've seen this same guy go 20+/0 in tanks multiple times.

Agreed on the first part of your post, and yeah I've seen the WARRIORS group too, they're not quite as good in tanks as STB. Was in a match on the same side as 4 of them in tanks last night, I went 15/1 on foot, their best guy only had 12 kills I think... Compared to STB tankers that's not very good, they're usually 20+/0 or 1.

You're tough as nails in a tank too, been matched up against you a couple times. Definitely preferred the matches where we were on the same team.

Hehehe would you believe in still using a militia tank? I only started playing 2 weeks ago and eventually decided to go tanks and made the mistake to go armor. Then I put everything for my shields and now im almost done with vehicle command.

You STB guys sure showed me how to play on foot today, demonstrating techniques such as-

-Getting a negative k/d on foot, including one STB member not even in the picture because he went 0-7. (Props to quickgloves for at least going positive, he is actually a pretty good player on foot from what I've seen, and don't think I've ever seen him in a vech besides an LAV.)
-Getting killed while calling in a tank and getting your tank jacked (SKIG #1 )
-Calling in another tank and getting it blown up
-Losing an Ambush match without even depleting half of your enemy's clone reserves

I suppose you did get one more kill than me, but on the other hand does 4-5 really qualify as doing better than 3-0 in an ambush match? Next time you guys jump down some newb's throat talking smack for no reason other than him speaking the truth, make sure you actually back up the smack talk, ok?

Again, this is not me being a hater, this is me speaking the truth. Maybe it was an off match for you guys, maybe your team was bad, or maybe you were just outplayed, it's not my place to decide. But so far, from what I have personally seen, quickgloves is the only one who I would say is good on foot. And I've seen him be good on foot in quite a few matches, good team player, pretty good tactics, etc.

ive come to the conclusion that all the people in STB are a bunch of pansy that can only use tanks to kill. All they do is spawn tanks in! so congrats guys for making the game freaking unbearable to play!

Look at it this way. Without STB doing what they are doing the issue of imbalanced tanks would not have come up. STB is doing what everyone here is suppose to do... exploit imbalances in the game so that everyone else can report it.

As for members of your squad being on our team? Pretty tough not to be successful while you're riding SKIG's coat tails to victory. And the reason I was 3-0 and 9th is because I made my way to a roof, threw down an uplink and started calling out enemy positions for my team... You know, some of that superior teamwork and tactics stuff STB is always bragging about having. It's a shame all they really have are big mouths and a ton of SP invested in vehicles.



Pretty funny that after all that smack talk about how you guys would own me on foot, the first thing you do when you see me in a match is call in a tank.

That's weird, when I call people out I back it up with superior skill. It appears however that you called us out and you're no where to be found in the top 1000 in KDR. which is really strange since the lowest spot is 2.54 and hell there are so many things to get easy kills. Seriously in this game even an average player should be able to maintain a 2.5 KDR, considering so many people can in tanks and you could be a gunner, you could snipe, you could abuse the scout suit, use a shotgun, use thunkker nades. Hell the fact that we have self repairing shields and can put on armor repairers on not to mention the ARs have almost no recoil and do a ton of DPS and so do SMGs.

People don`t do that because they aren`t ass holes. I tried a tank for a while,. realized it was OP, stopped. I tried scout suit, stopped because it was OP. (which it isn`t anymore)

Anyways, who cares about KD? Warpoints is where it's at. And even then, you have to remove anyone that mostly uses a tank, and anyone that bitches about K/Ds.

I really don't see how people are having so much trouble with STBs. Every match I've come in against one, they seem to be no better than any other average DUST player. I kill STBs more often than not.

How many STB are actually on the beta?
