If ccp is hell bent on making the dust 514 economy infrastructure so much like EvE online (which all signs point to that they are) then the game is going to have serious problems bringing in regulars! Since this is a console game, ccp needs to treat it as such! Also, while the shooter aspect has improved, n thats not saying much really, its still far from up to snuff. As a matter of fact its downright mediocre |

We now havgood squads but not yet good teams. Those are coming.

CCP doesn't need these ppl, they make enough money as it is off EVE that we don't have to make another play pen for regulars. they can become unregular or play a regular game IMO...

It means console fps'ers want to fit their loadouts by chronologically "unlocking" gear as soon as they possibly can so they can get out on the battlefield as quickly as they possibly can. The lethargic, methodical, rpg-ish pace, along with sharing an economy with ppl they dont care about;, along with those ppls resources and planets, isn't going to fly with the majority of console fps'ers. Along with the fact that they'll be better shooters out there= the game's woeful demise on console. |

Pick a variant of said item.
Buy item. ISK subtracted from account.

I disagree with the OP. The gameplay has improved because we have a harder market. It takes work and you spend time EARNING your gear. That is fun. Before I'd burn by money on unnecessary stuff because I could. I deployed marauders on the towers to drop them off and still make a profit that match.
The market is better than in the E3 build and I think Dust will capture a LOT of gamers with it. Maybe not the majority of console games, but who needs them anyways. |

Again....it's not complicated, what we're playing in the beta right now is the most shallow part of the game. Are you having fun? I am, and honestly it's stupidly simple.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but CCP won't want a large number of people who 'just want to have fun', by which I'm assuming you mean they'll download the game at launch and play it till the next Call of Duty.
The audience this game is targeted it is not by definition the majority of the FPS community (who are already catered for with with CoD et al) but is more likely to be the people who will play for years, contribute to the experience and, at least sometimes, will buy items from the he market place... with real money. Without those people, there would be no free game. |

Understand the market we have does not actually reflect the market in EVE, We have no information on Industry, We have very little information on the Economy, other than we can buy stuff.
Also Understand CCP is doing it this way, because we will be on EVE Online's Tranquility Server, and any information we get now will affect the eve market, if it changes before launch, that will affect the EVE market, and Given the nature of EVE's market, CCP doesn't like stabbing it alot with changes. Hence Industry and the Market in depth is Classified.
Give them till launch, or maybe a little after, and things will change alot. |
