Breach isn't overpowered, imo. You have to remember that by now, people have trained up their Assault Rifle Proficiency to lvl 4 or 5 which give +5% damage per lvl plus they have damage mods (sometimes double stacked). With Light Weapon Sharpshooter to lvl5, the Breach can be a pretty deadly weapon... |

yes but its still too over powered for its intended role, atm breach variants are too superior over the other variants. It needs a heavy nerf on its RoF if its too keep its dmg bonus.

Breach's are too powerful: they have incredible range, super high dps and no spread or recoil whatsoever. They beat snipers at long range, they beat smg's and close range and to me, thats too powerfull. |

yea i use the duvolle tactical have proficency at lvl 3 but assault sharpshooter lvl5 and assault sharp shooter profiecency at lvl 5
anything short of long range the creodrone owns me |

thats the problem with the breach variant weapons too many positives and not enough drawbacks
Breach weapons are good at everything, i can hit ppl at range easy with the 0 recoil of the lolCreo and hip fire like a champ at mid-close range with it as well
the tactical ARs imo should be the highest dmg weapons reason u dont see alot of tactical AR users currently is because the hit detection is currently still messed up
but before any nerfs or buffs are handed out CCP needs to fix the hit detection and have it perfect so we can finally see how guns really operate |

I agree. The breach has more rounds in a clip and does more damage per round plus it's automatic (albeit a slow rate of fire but that can be a bonus on kiting) so it has all the benifits over the tac version with the exception of the increased zoom, there is double damage on headshots but the zoom isn't quite enough to make it a medium range headhunter weapon. I set up a glass cannon fit with a proto tac rifle to give it a try and it can be alright if you have some teammates around to avoid running into someone CQ but it's just too hard to pull off efectively and not worth the drawbacks .
That said the Tac sniper rifle is just as bad or worse than the Tac Ar. only a three round clip and bad recoil and scope sway so the extra rate of fire doesn't do much good. I havent skilled into sniper rifles on this build so a fully speced version may be a more viable option but I didn't have much love for the way the standard model handled.
Hopefully CCP shows a bit of love to those of us who prefer semi auto marksmanship (I've crossed sides this build to full auto weapons and the shame is killing me)

The damage doesn't bother me, it's getting rushed with almost no penalty to recoil. I guess that is what threw me off with the game....It's not very complex in regards to the qualities in the weapons, no statistical wise but it feels like this game was patchworked together just to get a few things to be able to make a noise and correspond to how it affects a enemy when you shoot someone and not feeling like every weapon has chance like in Battlefield 3. |

Agreed. Tactical is pretty useless. Breach is way too accurate compared to the gain of damage inflicted. |

I say once hit detection gets fixed it's time to re-evaluate the breach weapons and decide whether they are OP, but no sooner. Because of the bad hit detection, breach weapons have imo a big advantage due to their low ROF and high damage. If most of your bullets miss because of bad hit detection, the damage of the ones that hit is getting much more important in deciding the winner of a fire fight. Standard ARs can't really take advantage of their high ROF with the broken hit detection we have now, so they feel inferior. |

Agreed. One must wait for the hit detection to be more consistent. Remember the DPS for the Breach AR is like 5th on the list. Its accuracy makes it king right now. |

all the other rifles out dps the breach buy quite a bit, but a good buff for the tactical could be by giving it automatic fire similar to the breach but still retain its abillity to be fired as fast as you can pull the trigger |

Hes right....please dont get me started on the Creon Dreo and how awesome it is when its dominating me over and over and over....I have a Stormside and I have to solidly acquire and empty the whole clip into a proto to take it down. I heard this like i said I think the people that complain about the breach just dont want another wep on the battlefield as powerful as there Creon AR's. |

I like the tac ar and have gotten a surprising number of kills with it for using only the standard. I like having it semiauto and even though it got a buff last patch it still doesn't do enough damage or the breach does too much. I'm okay with a lower RoF weapon having better hipfire, but it should come at a range cost or something. Like many have said, it has way too many pros without really any cons other than slow RoF, but that doesn't really seem to hurt it. |

The devs will have stats we can't see. Such as amount of deaths per weapon compared to amount of people who use it. They should be able to infer if a weapon is OP or not. |

I cant really agree with the range being too high, at least not for the advanced breach ar. . . Ever third or fourth enemy i shoot at (may it be a dropship or soldier or whatever) doesnt get hit (and its hard not to hit a giant lump of metal floating right ahead of you)
But then maybe i just suck incredibly at AR's |
