This was all said by Dennie Fleetfoot who is currently in Iceland at Fanfest.
- Hilmar and many of the other devs are stoked for Nova
- CCP Rouge said it was a no brainer to move Nova to Reykjavik. The Shanghai team nailed the moment to moment gunplay, but to make it more like EVE what better place than the same building that EVE is made in.
- According to Rouge, Shanghai didn't lose Nova, rather Reykjavik won a prize
- CCP Rouge has been talking to a lot of press who all want to know about Nova, it's apparently all they want to know about
Credit to Dennie Fleetfoot, he's the real MVP

I might add that I see all such things as extremely important. While the Dusters were fundamentally a different community from the other New Eden residents, I personally was in contact with any number of people in my EvE corp and others in EvE that made many comments like that they would have liked to have played Dust at some point but for one reason or another (usually because of the PS3) they didn't. Moving Nova development to Iceland to make it more "EvE" will be a step towards making it more accessible to the general New Eden community, and particularly since it will be on PC, will be much more attractive to EvE Online players. |
