Does not the new unreal have the ability to be on both the ps4 and the pc?
If so they could do both.
Better yet CCP could just ask the community to vote on it, just like the CPM got voted on. Then be done with it and move forward.

I have heard from console players that they feel the #PortDust514 movement has become all about PC... #PortDust514 is about requesting communication from CCP and not driving one platform or another. I can see how they would be confused though.
Not that long ago, I created a post in /r/Eve to request assistance for this cause. The Eve Online players have long been CCP's favorite children and I thought if we could get them on our side then it might help. You can see the post here. As luck would have it, this was a huge success. Much support and attention was given to #PortDust514.
In that post I say, "I know that the majority of /r/Eve firmly believes in PCMR, but at this point us DUST mercs would take anything that isn't the PS3." in an attempt to stay agnostic. But, guys seriously, this is /r/Eve we are talking about. Of course they are in support of a PC port.
THAT IN NO WAY DIMINISHES THE INTENT OF #PORTDUST514
Some tweets like this one got made, supporting PC. And then some tweets like this one got made, supporting PS4. Some people just don't get that this isn't about the platform.
That does not mean you should wash our hands of #PortDust514 because it isn't supporting PS4 or whatever magical electronic joy box you choose to worship.

Again the issue is controls. Mouse and keyboard will win over a controller in any situation unless you include caps on aiming speed and give controllers plenty of aim-assist, both of which are an immediate turnoff to PC gamers.

A friend of mine who has a tendency to be right all the time and smug about it actually called that one as soon as they announced the new "release cadence".
EVE always used to do bi-annual "blockbuster" expansions with trailers and lots of hype buildup and all the usual fanfare. They decided to switch to a system where they did 10 smaller releases each year in order to allow them to deploy content when it was ready instead of waiting for expansions, but the issue is that that means you have to go to updates.eveonline.com to even know what they added. The Big Expansion model was a major component in bringing back the people who burned out or were distracted by other games.
Now they're bringing that model back for big ticket features while using the rapid release model for smaller content. The combination should bring numbers back up, especially since the next one is going to be the Citadels that replace all current player-built starbase/station structures.

Reviewing footage from the Legion announcement, it's clear that it was Devs who had the idea of a port and it was devs talking 'possibility'. The Devs were also in good communication via twitter etc regarding this 'possibility'. Then all of a sudden communication died suddenly, as if killed. I hope i'm very wrong, but i'm getting the vibe CCP knows where it wants to go and they want to leave this headache behind.

The goal of the movement is so that ccp tell us whether they have something in store for this game or they don't. So if what you say is the case then all we want is ccp to tell us so.
