I like how probably every single Dust player that left for Planetside 2 would come running back for Dust 514 on the PS4. Planetside 2 is pretty good gameplay-wise, but it just has no soul, and no matter how many times you win you don't actually achieve anything. I've played it again from time to time just to do some silly shenanigans with friends, and that's fun. The issue is the game is basically a Battlefield 3 server with unlimited ticket-count, oversized maps, and modded up to 2000 players. Funny thing is that's exactly what John Smedley said it wouldn't be back when it launched. For further funny-factor, Sony Online Entertainment's initial plan was to finish Auraxis, then build out all the other planets in the solar system, and eventually build a multi-solar system game to rival EVE Online.
