When the tanks race to get the point back they hit the proxies. I love vehicle stompers because they make it easy to know how to strike them back. What really sucks is when you have a team of quitters who start throwing themselves at the meat grinder while someone like me sneaks around, takes the point and draws back the whole other team for a good old 15 v 1 (That gets me off seeing them come at me like that.) The problem is the blues are so disheartened at that point that they don't know they need to push then. "Dying with your rep tool out - the logi-flasher!" Who hasn't been caught by a cute little female scout doing this?

Especially in Faction Warfare against Gallente supporters. no not a joke, i assure you. also just an observation. even on a stomped end of a match my wp value is 1500+ (most of the time) it happens when you actually PUSH and don't give up. that's what gameplay looks like Yeah its not hard to get WPs, if you do something other than run a std assault suit into battle, I can make 1500 off a few well placed uplinks and scratch my arse in the sky watching for the rest of the match, but some dude with the bare basics in the game needs to hack and shoot stuff to get anywhere, pretty hard to do when you've gotta run 200m before getting stomped. I've got a birds eye view of a lot of these matches, I've watched as a couple of guys spawn on an uplink i've placed behind the redline blockade, half the enemy team sprints back there kills the 3 daring souls that spawned and quickly take out the link (if its one i couldn't place somewhere hard to get to without a dropship) then its straight back to the redline to whinge about boring games where people only snipe. If DUST had a game mode where lesser challenging seeking players can play and eventually move onwards to higher risk / reward game modes, that will fix the leaving matches probability or at least encourage them to try different tactics than check scoreboard for known names / corps and leave. It's a combination of players, developers, publisher and console choice for the game. I don't blame people who leave except people I know who are skilled in some way to put up some competition. This is exactly correct - there's no reason to be competitive in Dust anymore with the care-bear mechanics and intense lag everywhere you go. Apex ruined the Risk vs Reward that flavored Dust to be something more then an FPS - every year we generally go down the path of CoD - free **** for everyone to spam until the FOTM changes.

I mainly play skirm and FW ans I noticed that redline matches don't happen as much as Dom. I usually am in a corp squad, so we are having fun no matter what. We are also learning from being stomped.
