Unfortunately, casual or non-competitive gamers are the larger body of gamers now. They do not want to feel challenged all the time. They would just like to play the game for the seek of fun during their leisure time. Why on earth would they play through frustration only to continue to get no where or with minimal gain? That is why games have multiple game modes that encourage competitive play, casual lobby play, or straight out PvE fun. If DUST had a game mode where lesser challenging seeking players can play and eventually move onwards to higher risk / reward game modes, that will fix the leaving matches probability or at least encourage them to try different tactics than check scoreboard for known names / corps and leave. It's a combination of players, developers, publisher and console choice for the game. I don't blame people who leave except people I know who are skilled in some way to put up some competition.
