Personally I only leave battle when its one of the lag inducing maps that become unplayble for me after about 2 mins, you can't blame anyone for not bothering to play those maps, for many the frame rate drops to less than 1.
As frustrating as it is, I can't blame solo players for quitting when they see a well known stomping squad on the otherside, playing against some of you people just isn't fun. You gang bang the **** out of everyone in the game going as far as to pull out prototanks on an already breaking team, and you wonder why ppl say **** it, im out.
There really isn't any answer to the problem, if you treat every pub match like its PC, capping the point and pushing the enemy to the redline in the first 2 mins, people are gunna leave and play a match that isn't completely pointless, and you've only got your own epicness to blame for it :)

yeah, I play battles till the end even when they suck, I'm putting forward what i imagine is the average leavers point of view, so you can go convince them that you kicking them repeatably in the balls will make them better players. Frankly the only thing a person is going to learn from trying to fight back outnumbered while being redlined is:
You might as well leave because the moment they scan you 6 ppl are gunna run you down and compete with each other for your kill, if you manage to kill one of them while they focus fire on you, you've done well son much E honour.

I just threw down some nanohives and kept chucking cores over a wall at the enemy camping my redline. After about 10 minutes of them getting ****** up from cores, they backed right the hell off.
No because I don't need your suggestions, I don't fight from the redline, I get my dropship and I skirmish the enemy team till they get so pissed off at me that they circle jerk on a roof while spamming missiles and forge at me.

I wonder if some of you see how bad some of these battles get, one match I was in tonight, my team was redlined in the first couple of mins, by the end of the match the enemy team had 5 tanks guarding the redline, how can you expect people to keep trying in the face of that kinda buggery? (on a side note one of those tanks made the mistake of straying away from his stompy mates and I taught him that the railbus is lethal to shield tanks *smirk*)

^ This is a joke. so you must be pretty bad if you're only getting 130k.......^ This is a insult and rude. Also, I'm not bad. I make my appearance known on the leaderboards. Especially in Faction Warfare against Gallente supporters. no not a joke, i assure you. also just an observation. even on a stomped end of a match my wp value is 1500+ (most of the time) it happens when you actually PUSH and don't give up. that's what gameplay looks like
Yeah its not hard to get WPs, if you do something other than run a std assault suit into battle, I can make 1500 off a few well placed uplinks and scratch my arse in the sky watching for the rest of the match, but some dude with the bare basics in the game needs to hack and shoot stuff to get anywhere, pretty hard to do when you've gotta run 200m before getting stomped.
I've got a birds eye view of a lot of these matches, I've watched as a couple of guys spawn on an uplink i've placed behind the redline blockade, half the enemy team sprints back there kills the 3 daring souls that spawned and quickly take out the link (if its one i couldn't place somewhere hard to get to without a dropship) then its straight back to the redline to whinge about boring games where people only snipe.
Guess my point is people are getting the games they deserve through their lack of valor.

(on a side note one of those tanks made the mistake of straying away from his stompy mates and I taught him that the railbus is lethal to shield tanks *smirk*) See, you don't understand that you need to change the drive for victory. Your new victory should be bleeding your enemy. I would have eaten all 5 tanks then laughed at them. Or you zip around behind them, drop a ton of Proxies and poke hack the letter then hide. When the tanks race to get the point back they hit the proxies. I love vehicle stompers because they make it easy to know how to strike them back. What really sucks is when you have a team of quitters who start throwing themselves at the meat grinder while someone like me sneaks around, takes the point and draws back the whole other team for a good old 15 v 1 (That gets me off seeing them come at me like that.) The problem is the blues are so disheartened at that point that they don't know they need to push then.
alright guess i need to say it again, i'm advocating a point of view i don't share, I stay in battles and I fight hard in the face of stupid odds, but what I am trying to do is demonstrate empathy which is a concept some the autists and assbergernaughts here clearly can't grasp.
But thanks for the proxy tip, that actually sounds cunning and I may try it.

Yes, where they'll leave another squad of stompets sexually frustrated on the redline, losing protosuits to untouchable snipers, everyone wins!

The real discussion should be the removal of the redline.
I agree, remove it and bring in a mechanic that accelerates the damage a redlined teams MCC takes, matches take too long and can rarely be turned around from these routs.

We've gotta think small, the dev team thats left can't do much to the game these days, its just in "profit" mode now, once the profit is too small to bother with they'll pull the plug.
