the sad part? it's being done by the same people, the same people who I see mercilessly slaughter n00bs will ragequit the very next game before it even begins, just because they know they can't do the same thing game after game.
If you like this game stop killing it, I've never met a more self-centered bunch of freaks than DUST players. Games are so ******* boring these days, the ones with any action are when you're being proto-stomped and the boring games are the ones where everybody has quit!

but come on how is KDR going to fix anything its hardly a testament to your skill as a player
say I do not go for kills but I do most of the hacking and supporting I die say 3 times a match but I rarely get 1 kill
thats less then a .3 kdr do I get placed with scrubs because I wanted to play that way?
same person decides to switch up their play style they go for kills only and they are playing now against players that cant even shoot straight 100+ kill streak
yeah that's balanced, the issue of players that would only play against scrubs to get high scores was more prevalent in the past now it still happens from time to time but its way less prevalent, although the issue of motivation is still there as players are not motivated to fight back when they are getting beaten

Stomping is a problem but it is a symptom of the lack of vision.
In short we hack and win for isk payouts but why?
If the goal is to gain higher and higher degrees of effectiveness, then stomping is attainment of the desired goal.
If the goal is to have fair and skill based matches then free suits and/or low meta level matches are a path to the goal and found in PC.
Stomps happen from those who choose to win at all costs: True.
Stomping also happens from the lone 4 man squad with advanced gear simply working together when the opposition fails to overcome them.
We have to accept that our freedom in playstyle can have undesired consequences -so plan and play accordingly.
It's hard to beat up hundreds of armor piercing bullets using only your face...

16 Players on Team A and 16 players on team b. Both team have been selected based mainly on SP. There are a few outliers on each team but for the most part everyone is right around 45mill SP give or take 5 mi.

Now what happens when Team A decides to use the proto gear they are capable of but Team B decides to use MLT and STD??
You get a proto stomp. I'm starting to believe it's less and less about match making and more to do with player wanting to be cheap and save a few isk. Noticed this the other night. Late at night before downtime. Had 4 or 5 games with the same 20 or so people. Sometimes they would be with my squad other times they were against my squad. The difference wasn't in SP or bad match making it was people wearing garbage suits against a team that wanted to wear proto.
I vote for the ability to see a SP total for each player, squad, and team. Then it will come to light what the real problem is, people being cheap like people are.

I just cant wrap my tiny little pea brain around that concept. Ill argue against it while not understanding it just because. Maybe someone will forget you said it so i can bring it up in two weeks.

I reminisce about the days when people stepped up their game when they recognized someone tough. But it's really not that simple. It's a combination of incentive vs. risk (asset loss) and the randomness of solo players that have really buggered up Dust.

I think SP matchmaking would be a better barometer. Then the players with similar experience levels would be matched, and then if people qq about being proto stomped it's their own fault for spending their SP the wrong way, or not wanting to spend the ISK.
And on a serious note... if you're not having fun then do something else. Why spend your downtime being angry?

Except this is actually aimed at working, that was not. It was aimed at sustaining stomp while appearing to be a solution.

So your telling me that I should.... be a re scout again  Simply because we all skilled into it doesn't mean we should all do it....I have a proto logi and a advanced Amar light frame..does that mean I should run them 24/7 just cause I have them? No it doesn't...I like to run around with my shifty militia assault (pick a race I got all those) and do hit and runs against any idiots that I can catch off guard.... I prefer to have fun in this game... have you ever killed a proto heavy with a Alex's hmg while he was being repped while you were in a militia suit? I'll tell you....that's pretty damn ******* fun even if I die 3 times trying to do it |

we all started out the same as you did. We got stomped, we learnt the HARD way. I didn't know how to join a squad for 13 months, i didn't have a mic and was having fun playing solo anyway.
If you want to 'git gud'; hold your own, know how to adapt, 1v1 and even 2v1, know how to survive, know when to run away and know where not to drop uplinks then solo is for you!
