Allegedly the Amarr faith was an offshoot of the Unified Catholic Church but we have no idea if that's related to Catholicism as we know it today.
Also iirc this information came from Gallente sources so it's pretty iffy from an impartiality standpoint. |

NEVER use an extreme case when discussing a topic.

They are the most personal of topics, and you will never change someone's mind. I am pleased, however, that my Great State of Texas has been referenced as it is the only truly relevant US state. There's Texas, then everyone else. There is no ambivalence. No one ever brags about being from Delaware. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbJC6recwOQ Houston, you? Dallas! Obligatory, F#ck yeaaaah!! Notice how it doesn't explain why. No suporting argument, no reasoning whatsoever. Kinda sounds like, I dunno, someone's opinion. Just maybe. Give me the verse or ask someone who knows this better than me. It also says marriage is to be between a man and a woman. And if the verse has God saying it who are we to judge God? Well, God also states that **** victims must marry their rapist after the rapist has paid her father for her. Deuteronomy 22:28-29 "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives." The verse of god. But I'd make a solid wager that you would have disagreed with it had I made a push to get such a law ratified that rapists pay a fine and marry their victims not knowing where the the verse came from. Once again, I'm not an expert, especially on this one since it's touchy. BUT here is what Ive heard on this and think about it.
I do not trust my opinion on this one so I will direct you o asking the internet. That is where I heard about this verse and I think Ravi Zacharias spoke about it. Anyway look itup and it will clear it up for you.

Well, let's see...
According to the way the story flows, God created everything, and sometimes drops some magic or communicates with his favorite humans. Never does he directly take control of someone's actions via mind control. He always speaks to them or affects the environment around them. What I'm saying is, we are human beings capable of independent thought. We can question the motives and opinions of anyone, including the creator.
So yeah, I'm judging him right now. I think he should wake up and tell his followers to stop being intolerant and stop using an old storybook as a reference guide. Seriously, it's full of ideals that don't apply to today's society, and work better with ancient times. Ya know, when it was written.
But I'll admit, religion is an elaborate system. It's perfectly designed to take advantage of human psychology and insure loyalty to the ideals written by people who want everyone to think the same way. That's pretty much what happened. That's what people do, they want everyone to think like them. They'll go to any lengths to achieve it, even violence, AKA the Crusades, ISIS, etc..
One thing I find very interesting is that we all know that arguing about religion is pointless, but we do it anyway. I suppose having the opportunity to organize our thoughts on the matter helps solidify and expand our stance on it. Or we just want to be right and wave it around. Probably that one.

Profound, but misguided. I am not looking down on you because of your age, I am just pointing out that your bigoted opinions will change in time, as your exposure to the world has been limited. Much like discussions in public forums, I am sure. If a 40 year old had said the same, I would have responded in the same manner... your opinions reflect that of someone whow has not spent time amongst the world. Your otherization of homosexuality is, in part, how this is easily recognizeable. I spent one year of school being put down and treated like dirt for being Christian. One kid turned every one of my friends against me. I lost my best friend after 10 years. I never once mistreated them and only ever showed love. I took it all and moved on after that year with help from the bible. I forgive them as much as I can and pray for them to see the truth.
I know there is WAY more to come especially in these times (as I'm sure every generation said) but I will stick to my beliefs.

Yes God gave us free will to do whatever we want. Even judge him, but we shouldn't, who are we to judge the creator?
If you look deeper in the bible you will see it does apply to todays society. The crusades were to claim the holy land as far as I know not force religion upon people. And ISIS is an Islamic group and so far no muslims have showed up here so forget about that, their religion is completely different.

The guy swooped in and brought him into a life of sin but I was stronger and yes, built myself up. The bible says something about that that has escaped me at the moment. Yea I moved on, the next year was high school where I got new friends. I surpassed the ring leader in every skill at school (including sports) and have more friends than him. Without God I would have been just as pathetic as him.
