PC is the most ideal scenario. It offers unparalleled options for development. Once the edges have been ironed out and development has good momentum, THEN consoles are an option. IMO, realistically, by the time DUST is ready to make a platform switch the PS4 may well be at the end of its lifecycle. We've been down that road once before.

We've been down that road once before. since when has dust ever been a polished gem?? Development is the key to the profits. Think of it, a free to play ever evolving player enhancement based game. It's the potential that keeps the vets and free to play that keeps the rookies coming in.

One thing that needs to happen is make the forums attached to the game, so people can make input feedback and ideas easier, also provide SP or some sort of bonus that comes with ideas that progress the game in the right direction.

You have too much hope for this game. Understand, that no matter how much you polish a turd, it is still going to be a turd. Us vets don't stay for the "potential," most vets just play because why not, it isn't dead YET. DUST needs a PC, which is why Project Legion is in the works.
You, just stop.

PS4 Port = Asking Epic games for license to use unreal engine on a console (again), Asking Sony permission to put DUST514 on PSN store, despite Sony having thier own sci-fi FPSMMO and DUST having such a huge negative view in industrys eyes. Abiding by Sony and Epics regulations for updates/expansion.
PC Port = CCP being able to do pretty much what they want on a system thats in more homes than PS4 consoles. Easier connection between EVE, 600,000 EVE subscribers already familiar with CCP who see consoles as a stepdown and so wont buy one.
PC makes more sense and will allow more freedom for CCP to develop it in the long run. Developing for consoles can be a pain whereas with a PC pretty much anyone with half decent coding experience can release a game and distribute it

Polished gem? No. Steps in the right direction to obtain polishing materials? Yes, see hotfix Alpha - Echo, and the upcoming 1.1 Warlords update.
CCP has made clear that they intend to keep developing for the PS3 until it is no longer feasible, and I expect this to go on for at least another year. Next Fanfest will likely announce plans to move to a different platform; Sony has specifically stated that they plan to stop support for the PS3 this year (I can provide link) and by next year the PS4 will be halfway through its console cycle. Development for anything on Sony's consoles takes longer due to QA Processes and a slew of other factors I'm sure that we don't know about. In addition, going to PC allows the use of test servers and a whole bunch of other things. Even upping system memory by an average of 1600% (256mb to 4gb) for a Windows 7 system would help alleviate MANY problems and give devs much more room to work with.
TLDR: PC is the best option for now.

PC makes more sense. On a console DUST is limited, can't run it's intended engine, lag and graphic issues abound. PC is limitless. Some games aren't for PC. This game is dying on a console. Just because a game has a player base on a console, doesn't mean squat. The playerbase know this game is dying numb nuts. I would say start thinking more, but your corp says it all.

+1 ccp get to it already its as easy as opening up UDK, going to file -> game options -> platform support
GÿÉ Legacy consoles GÿÉ PC GÿÉ Xbox 360 GÿÉ Xbox One Gÿæ PS3 Gÿæ PS4 GÿÉ IOS GÿÉ Android Gÿæ Cross-platform multiplayer
and you're done, UDK will take care of all the compatibility and publishing issues don't worry
though while you have that window open you might as well check off more of the boxes can't hurt to have more players right |

With things like Star Citizen on the horizon and it's FPS module trying to put Dust onto PC is what doesn't make sense.
Dust would provide a unique experience on the PS4 and I think that if CCP Rattati hits his goals for this year Dust will be in a good enough place to warrant making a move over to that platform.

This game is "dying" because the Uprising 1.0 Dev team was pushed to release on 5/14 for a cute marketing ploy. Then failed to address tiny things for months at a time. They ran people off like they were secret agents for other gaming companies. Then FF 2014. Despite all that, here we are still profitable.
You have 10s of thousands of players that played Dust in some capacity before they moved on to PS4. With a PS4 port FIRST you tap into an existing customer base.
The playerbase obviously doesn't know the game is dying or it wouldn't be profitable. |

Warframe is a different kind of game. It's not competing at all.
If anything Dust is competing with Blacklight Retribution, which is frankly meh.

You obviously never heard that people lie. Dust is not profitable, there is no evidence of it other than CCP wordings. And Dust won't make it on PS4. I don't see how you can't get your stubborn mind around that fact. Dust. Won't. Make. It.

Probably more than anything else to social side of it. Also with player trading coming soon a P2P market.
I've played black light, PS2, and Destiny and I really just don't find their PvP game play anywhere near as compelling.

PS3 sales as of Last May = 77.3 Million
If you think that PS4 has a larger player base, you need to learn some basic math.
While I support some form of Dust/Legion on the PS4, Dust can still be viable on the PS3. In fact, it was just recently announced that FFXI is JUST NOW finally going to have an end date. On the PS2.
This game still has a long life span given the player base, and many other parts of the world using older gen consoles.
