Dear players,
I promised to share "my notes", that I keep in a Trello board, so you all can see that the feedback loop is working. I cannot always reply or discuss every idea that comes up, but I try to keep track of most of them. You can thank a Biomassed podcast for the last nudge to finally get it sanitized and ready .
So I give you my Big Board of Things.
This Trello board is absolutely not a development roadmap, there may be random ideas there, that will never be implemented, or straight up bad ideas, just because they spurred my imagination at some time. It is basically like browsing through my scratchpad or diary. I try to keep Live issues separated from Ideas, and usually run a "next Hotfix" backlog based on priority or discussions. They also are not promises.
This board will be useful for you to stop asking for some things, or ask me why I haven't added your great idea. I may have missed or not had the heart to tell you it wasn't a great idea.
It is also a place where you can verify that ideas from the Community Crowdsourcing Trello are being listened to or acted on, members there can then "check" them off the list and carry on.
I have also been able to find time to start replying to the Community Crowdsourcing Trello, and will keep doing so. It is absolutely fantastic to see the good ideas bubble up to the top, through voting, but sometimes they are too big in scope, and I will be honest then.

No swaying when you scope and you don't have to be crouching to get it to stop swaying. It should be more like counter strike where moving adds dispersion, but it's not going to move the scope.
As for crouching I always thought the movement speed was way too slow and it would be cool if it lowered your profile a bit. |

So TF2 snipers are like UT2k4 lightning guns, but with scope?
Also, Rattati apparently thinks about having equipment resupply through nanites. ******* finally. Though I guess it would be broken if equipment could create equipment, especially if nanite costs of equipment is high. Grenades already insta-kill nanohives that would be far more useful for the players whose guns actually don't have any ammo anymore. The most important thing would be for supply centers to finally replenish equipment.
If even 20% of that list came true, I'd be quite happy. |

Thank you very much for shairing this. It's useful to know what's being considered.
The vast majority of the items in there I either love, like, or at least find interesting.
Here's some feedback on ones I have concerns with or specific feedback that may be useful:
better FW warbarge strikes (in list "IDEAS - UNSORTED") A note that the ideal solution here is to make it easier for pilots to provide OBs. Of course that is more of an EVE side thing and you may have little direct control there.
4 man squads ? (in list "IDEAS - BATTLES, INSTALLATIONS AND MODES") Wary of this. Squads are one of the few social tools we have; wary of decreasing that.
Should Codebreakers be high? (in list "IDEAS - EQUIPMENT AND MODULES") I waould say yes. Need more stuff in Highs, and most Scout stuff is jammed into Lows alraedy, scoothing CBs to Highs would provide more fitting options for everybody.
PG upgrades are almost never useful (in list "IDEAS - EQUIPMENT AND MODULES") I would suggest moving these to Highs. Parially for reasons mentioned above, but also armor uses both PG and Low slots; moving PG upgrades to High would alleiviate this. My ideal solution here though is for both CPU and PG upgrades to be slot agnostic. The main thing you're sacrificing with the fitting module is the slot itself; don't see why we need to restrict players to a specific slot type.
Cloak deactivation delay - wait 10 seconds until can be activated after being deactivated (in list "Evaluation") ]In general probably a good idea, but 10 seconds seems long to me. How about 10 seconds default, but have a skill that can push it down to 5 or 7 seconds.
WP for killing an incapacitated clone (in list "Evaluation") The guiding logic of WP rewards is that anything that helps your team win should be rewarded. That philosophy has served us very, very well in the past. I'm going to break with that here, though. I'm concerned the effects this would have on the dynamic of the revive system. ie: If we reward killing downed clones, then there will be less downed clones; and therefore even less reason to equip the Nanite Injector.
Reduce number of ambush maps, reduce number of skirmish 5 point maps (in list "Evaluation") Maybe this is to help set up some other feature, but in the absence of that, I don't understand why in a game starving for more content, we are deleting existing content.
Payouts based on isk destroyed (in list "Warlords 1.1") Deeply concerned about how this will effect rewards for support players. Especially given many are already are having trouble running ISK neutral. |

Ummm Mr. Rattati, this is incredible. I am most curious, what is stopping you from implementing these? Much of the community would live to discuss this and give active feedback. Do you pick certain things from your list to develope first, or do your Hotifxes get approved by someone else? Because your ideas, 98% are sound, and the other 2% can be made sound. The one thing I didn't see at all is fixing the inability to sell certain items. Like all of my Amarr basic armor plates and such. I've developed an OCD about keeping my assets tidy.

Combed through it and nice job. Only thing I can think of that is missing is when armour hardners are active on a dropship, gunners are reporting a black screen.

If it's done correctly, we could have a Crysis-like experience for high level players. Momentary boosts of power that have to be controlled properly in order to make the most out of them. Imagine active myofibrills that add melee damage and lots of jumping power. The Sentinel jumps over a wall, fists a few guys and then starts shooting his HMG. Hell, such a module would basically be an equivalent to jump jets. However, the clumsy equipment wheel might be an issue there, as well as the fact that all pieces of equipment run on separate energy supplies. |

Ha visto questa problema? I did not recall seeing anything pertaining to changing the colors of the HUD. If possible, can the HUD overlay have a negative contrast to the rest of the content on screen? It's not a top priority, but it'll ease my mind knowing it is at least in the backlog.

Now that I think about it too, Rattati, what do you about nerfing strafing speed nerf and inertia when changing strafe directions? The game has turned less into a tactical shooter and more into a twitch shooter because of that. Which turns a lot of people off. And the only people this strafe nerf would be hurting would be the ones that ecploit it because of the bad hit detection.

The hit detection on melee hits with scouts and assault suits is very bad on moving targets, it is still bad against moving heavy suits using many plate modules. this is because the image on my screen is showing where the enemy was 0.1 seconds ago. Even if I hit the image at a range of 0.4 meters the game still does not detect the hits because the enemy is too fast for the server to keep up with 100% accuracy (small amounts of lag)
I would suggest making the melee action acts like nova knifes where the melee does not do damage at a point in the middle of the screen, but it creates an arch of damage like the nova knifes.
I would also suggest increasing the range of melee by 0.5 meters to help with hit detection against enemies that are moving away from the player that is using melee. |

They censor the word 'Nazi'? Caldari should get a bonus to swarms, I mean it is their weapon. Minmatar Scouts were made to be Assassins and the ultimate Assassin tool is a Nova Knife.

well its not all good... alot of it seems crap tbh but a few things are pretty cool. didnt see logi dropships or lavs tho what up with that? also the apc i had suggested before but ohwell only took a year to hear about something similar to what i wanted. and those heay weapons arent too bad im looking forward to them. also the one thing i had to say WHAT THE ACTUALLY F.... about was this "if a vehical is a "dropsuit" then what equipment does a "pilot" use?" honestly... how bout a pilot suit.. bonus can be if they are the pilot - all small turrents get a - ROF bonus - Damage bonus - reload bonus - tracking speed bonus (not a fan of having this here but meh) - accuracy bonus - CDR (cool down reduction) bonus * specifically for cal (i think) with rail guns and stuff - the dropship gets a CDR on modules of x% - dropship gets a x% resistance on its shields or armor. - dropship gets a increased repair/regeneration rate or reduces cool down before regeneration/repair starts. - movement speed bonus - acceleration bonus - ammo capacity on dropship guns - maybe even something like a module depending on what equipment you fit such as uplink- mobile cru nanohive- ability to be a ammo station (thats they name i thought of just now) so infantry can replenish xammount of ammo from the dropship per min such as (using nanites which i dont no how work exactly but) 100 nanites/1min (just used 4x the militia nanohive for it) or you could scale the nanites off the nanohive so it would be 24/min on the militia and they couldnt go above the set nanites so after 2mins you would stilll only have the 24 and every min it would just top them off. rep tool- this could bring back the old remote reps (with more range of course) maybe same thing as nanohives but it could be the range is doubled for the rep and the amount repped is the amount on the tool for infantry and double that for vehicles. and maybe this could make those vehicle rep tools useful for something. needle- maybe something like you have can revive one passenger of you choice by pressing a combination of buttons similar to squad orders. remotes and all other explosive equipment- nothing.. or a little carpet bomb (yep op XD) scanners- pretty much a active scanner except they can be used for short times with short cool downs in bursts for example. -flux scanner (20sec cool down i think it is) give it a reasonable range and somthing like 15secound cool down and active period of about 2secounds (so 1 scan of a normal active scanner on vehicles roughly) and the higher tiers have lower cool downs at about 10-8secounds and increased radius along with better precision (but i would say dont allow them to be able to pick up a scout so maybe 30 for the max scan precision P.S. all scouts have 35 scan profile i think with a proto flux scanner the dropship/pilot suit scan module should pick up a undampend scout, and its insentive to skill into somthing you should have as a scout ) and the last one the cloak field- now i doubt anything above basic wouldn't fit along with a gun and modules (unless no highs all pg cpu lows which btw swaps pg mods to high would make more sense) but they could stealth the dropship once every 2mins for 3secounds at basic then 1min 30secs cool down and 5secound period and proto (already sounding op at this point but im making these up on the spot) 1min 15secs and 7sec duration. (maybe 1.30mins- 5secs or 6secs at proto 1.45mins- 4secs advanced and 2mins-2secs basic) while the dropship is cloaked how ever no lock on weapons or equipment will be able to target it (such as swarms and reps) and all free fire weapons can hit it (eg. forge guns, plcs other dropships from either team and buildings of course)
and thats all i got... but yeah uhh i guess thats all my ideas and besides a few things the board wasnt all that bad. and wouldnt mind hearing about pilot suits aswell and if they are coming have them fly into the game in bumble bee dropships and in some cool colors *cough cough purple cough* btw they would sell lots of auram ;) the pilots saving have spent all their sp now and the ones that left will hear about the pilot suits and rush back.
P.S. also please add "insert forge gun reload speed to the weapon attributes part of the information on the gun" to the board because for over about 4months now (most likely more) it has been removed and new players will be unaware of how long it takes and if they should get points into the reload speed for it (my excuse to say please return it)

Ratatti you should focus a bit more on the shield reptool and a cal. logi rebalance to match it. Shields need at the moment something to help them out.
